After using the system for a year it works most of the time but has false positives.
What do you like best about the product?
It automates our analysis of phish alerted emails and frees up the helpdesk to focus on more important tasks. It's great for quickly responding to the user especially if they reported spam or a clean email. Not so much for threats though. There are false positives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The false positives on threat emails and how it quickly purges or "phish rips" them from everyone's email is both a blessing and a curse. If it gets it right it's great. In our experience about 20% of the time it misclassifies a safe email as a threat and then purges it from the whole company. Then the helpdesk has to go in and undo everything. It's a lot of extra work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the analysis of phish alerted emails and does a great job identifying spam, and clean emails. It does okay identifying threats. It's a little too aggressive at times marking emails as threats that are not. It is very very difficult to white list safe senders. It is complicated to setup the response rules to email the user and then notify the helpdesk.

What do you like best about the product?
Determining if an email is safe or not can be difficult these days. The PhishER takes the burned off my employees and allows them to submit messages and get a near real-time response.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI engine at times can erroneously grade a message incorrectly. That said have seen this significantly improve over the past 30-60days. Please keep up the enhancements!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we had the PhishER users had to submit support tickets to determine if a message was safe as a result, we would get 30+ tickets a day.
Single Pane of Glass for Review and Mitigation
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to review critical information, including VirusTotal results, Mail Header, etc. in a single interface is crucial to be able to respond. Having all the important information and tools in place is fantastic! The user interface makes it easy to use and navigate. KnowBe4 support is there to help implement and integrate seamlessly. I use this tool daily and it is a critical part of our Security and Response Stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish it would group together the same email reported by many users to reduce clicks and administrative time.

Central reporting repository and we can use the data to see
I have been very impressed with PhishER. The PhishER button comes in very handy.
What do you like best about the product?
Staff are more aware of Phishy emails sent out by bad actors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see an email come back to me when I sent one to the Phisher Button, that it has come back clean, spam or a threat.

Brilliant Product - Saves my team a considerable amount of time
What do you like best about the product?
The phish report button in Outlook sends the email straight to Phish ER which automatically checks the email lets the end user know if its a clean email or if it was part of a phishing simulation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slightly hard to manage at first until the policies are set to how you want and the admin overhead can be a challenge at first if you tell all users to report suspicious emails in this manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our users are now reporting suspicious emails which previously wasn't the case
Really ups the training game
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to setup. We are using the PhishER Plus and it's great for building more realistic scenarios. That in turns provides much more valuable training.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a few times to make sure you haven't missed any steps in the setup but once you do you are golden

It is great for building realistic phishing emails and scenerios that help work with staff to improve their detection skill set
Helpful Tool for Reporting Suspicious Emails
What do you like best about the product?
It's helpful that it is a very simple process for the end user to report a suspicious email. All they need to do it cick the Phish Alert Report button in their email and it sends it off for review. The majority of the emails are auto-categorized and with some settings configuration, can be handled automatically.
The Phish RIP feature is really nice where it can pull malicious emails out of users inboxes to prevent them from clicking on something bad that was reported.
The PhishER portal is also user friendly and we can easily track the status of emails that have been reported.

What do you dislike about the product?
One downside would be that there is some manual process still to it where we need to review the emails and initiate tasks such as Phish RIP. If you have the staff and have time to spend on doing it, it's not so bad. But if you have a smaller staff it can be harder to dedicate the time for reviewing it each day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PhishER is giving our users an easy option to report suspicious emails. Rather than calling our help desk or submitting a ticket, they can just submit the email with the Phish Alert Report button and it lets our IT team know something needs to be reviewed. The automated tools it provides does cut down on the number of emails we need to review manually. Overall, it's a pretty straight forward process.

Do not have to check the e-mail and notify users. for the most part it does it for me

Affordable way to analyze and respond to user submitted mail
What do you like best about the product?
PhishER is the natural companion to the PhishAlert button. We can't respond to every submission, and we don't want copies of potentially malicious emails sent to IT. PhishER gives us an outside mailbox that submissions go to so they can be analyzed and responded to automatically. You hope that the tool concludes that most if not all submissions are clean or even spam, but in the event the PhishER machine learning or VirusTotal scanning of links and attachments that indcate a threat, the tool can alert the submitter, your IT team, and take action to search for the same email across your mail server to pull them before anyone else has a chance to interact with it. We encourage our users to PhishAlert anything suspicious because they might not be the only person that received a malicious email, so reporting it first and getting all copies pulled fast can save the company. But let's face it, most submissions are benign, but at least users are getting immediate automated responses to their submissions that take manpower out of the equation. Submit all you want, I just need to be alerted to potential threats. PhishER has easily paid for itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
The VirusTotal integration relies on the customer getting an API key. The free account API key has a limitation on polls per day that we often experience when there's been a lot of submissions. Paid VT accounts are cost prohibitive and there's no alternative.

Powerfull and Easy
What do you like best about the product?
It is a product so easy to implement. The initial customization could take some times until you understand your real flow and user behavior. I really trust on how it works

Improve reporting feature to allow us to compare long periods.
