We work as an internal support factory and use Planview Portfolios to manage our projects and develop software. And we are trying to migrate to agile functionality. We used the software for booking reservations in hotels.

A solution that gives you all the information you need to plan detailed projects
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The benefit of Planview is that you can manage all the features simultaneously, and you have the information you need online. You can change your information and manage the resources very well. Getting to view the project is the best feature in Portfolios.
What needs improvement?
The box reports are too limited. If you want to configure it, you must consult someone, which is sometimes expensive.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is very stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is very scalable. We are only using a part of the solution. About 20 people from IT are using Portfolios in my company.
How are customer service and support?
Customer support sometimes takes a lot of time, but otherwise they do great. It is necessary to have some support because we have to do some special configurations.

How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was just a little complex. I rate the initial setup a seven out of ten. Deploying the solution took two weeks. While deploying the solution, we had two instances, one for the IT team and one for the business team. And we had to connect the two and explain things to the team. Only two people were needed to deploy the solution, me and another person.
What about the implementation team?
Sometimes, we needed to hire a consultant, but not always. The majority of the time, we can implement the solution alone.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Planview Portfolios is not too expensive. You get what you paid for.
What other advice do I have?
Before choosing Portfolios, you must prepare all the scenarios well to create projects on Portfolios. You must find the stage you want to manage in the life cycle. I rate Planview Portfolios an eight out of ten because the solution should explore more with reports.

What do you like best about the product?
It's the best workflow management tool where adding and maintaining the tasks were made easy with its smooth and nice User Interface. It helps to prioritize the tasks and organize to complete tasks effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling the work tasks can be made little simpler and in present market it has many competitors,

It helps in creating, adding, assigning and organizing tasks of the project within the team. Using this tools we can able to easily manage large projects effectively.

Simple set-ups and plugins. Capable of priori sing urgent projects, online time approvals, adding due dates and assignees, mass chatting, time tracking and estimations. Sophisticated graphical-user-interface.

Nothing to dislike upon it's functionality and services since it meets beyond we expected initially.

Agility in projects management, workflow management and cuts cost of hiring many PMs.

#1 Enterprise solution for Portfolio/Project management
What do you like best about the product?
Functionality to manage portfolios / projects and the abilities to customize lifecycle workflows with a simple or complex approval process. Ease of reporting across all functionality using standard reports or create your own with power BI.
What do you dislike about the product?
UX screen design needs to get an overhaul and add the ability to have the input screen allow dynamic emntry based on data entered/provided by a user. I.e. show / hide certain areas and even make certain fields required based on user input.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planview Portfolios, as it is called now, allows for portfolio / project and resource management enabling what if and forward-looking planning based on supply and demand.

At this time there isn't anything that I dislike about this tool.

Planview has been working on making the user interface of Enterprise One consistent with their other tools.

What do you like best about the product?
it's a weekly timesheet system. It is configurable for admin users and End users have limited settings including adding or removing approved work tasks and projects. I wish it had reminders to fill timesheet

no reminders it's inconvenient for busy people and cannot be integrated with Microsoft office either. it's the only limitation

Simple time entering tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use for time entering purposes, allocated projects are properly marked.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very intuitive for a new user. Need little time spending initially.

My main use case with this tool is to select new projects allocated to me and mark my effort spent against those projects.
Planview Enterprise One is an excellent product.
What do you like best about the product?
Planview Enterprise One provides the ability to have one integrated tool that allows you to manage your business from strategy through post-implementation. In addition, it provides reporting and dashboards capabilities that assist management with the data and agility to successfully manage the business and be competitive in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Planview Enterprise One requires support from Executive Sponship to be successful. You cannot do this as a grass-root effort if you will use this tool enterprise-wide in your organization.

We are solving the ability to manage large projects and programs successfully across a worldwide enterprise while providing reporting to various levels of management to ensure we are meeting our goals and objectives.

Having all essential data necessary for strategic planning and decision-making in one place.

Still not ideally user-friendly, but at least it's constantly improving.

Adopting resource management and building strategy. Having effort data (collected through Timesheets) and financial data (imported into financial versions) in the same system provides some analyses and insights.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's not perfect - there's no perfect solution. That said, it's improving, and more constantly than ever, so I'm optimistic about our journey together in the future.
