A Data Analyst’s Dream for Streamlining Vendor Security Assessments
What do you like best about the product?
A Data Analyst Specialist that deals with third party vendors, Secureframe has made it a lot easier to evaluate the security posture of my vendor. Higher data reliability: the platform’s automated collection of solutions eliminates chasing vendors for evidence spread all over, enabling much smoother SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance. What I really like about this is the ability to integrate their API with snow flake and tableau so vendors risk score comes in directly to my analytics dashboards. The live reminders for policy expiration and weak controls have allowed me to save hours of manual tracking! Source: Last quarter, I decreased our vendor onboarding time by 40% with pre-built assessment templates from Secureframe).
What do you dislike about the product?
Standard: Rails) but lack the necessary modularity to accommodate custom risk scoring for more specialized requirements such as data privacy law compliance (CCPA, LGPD). Additionally, while the reporting module has basic filtering options (and I often export data to Excel for more sophisticated analysis). At times, especially during audit season API response times tend to slow down and my scheduled data pulls get delayed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team used to spend weeks manually verifying vendor compliance docs and reconciling conflicting evidence formats before Secureframe. Now:
Data-based decision-making: Each month I use Secureframe to generate risk heat maps with vendor scores, which help leadership identify high-risk partner renewals.
Audit preparation: I save 70% of my time to prepare for internal audits since I have automated evidence gathering.
The proverbial vendor transparency: shared portals that allow vendors to self upload their compliance and dramatically reduce the number of follow up emails from our procurement team.
If spreadsheets are drowning data professional, Secureframe is the piece of the puzzle that connects security compliance with analytics in an actionable manner.

Achieving SOC2 compliance was easy and hassle-free!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, as well as onboarding process
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that there should be much more integrations, such as MongoDb
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secureframe is helping us achieve SOC2 compliance so that we can sell to utilities. It’s clearing a major blocker in our sales pipeline.
Enhanced compliance - a must for Fintech
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to chose from multiple compliance frameworks, and to create your own. We have been able to chose common information security and data protection frameworks to automate our control frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI and DORA, as well as build frameworks applicable to our specific jurisdictions.
We are able to demonstrate to auditors and regulators our commitment to information security compliance, and our ongoing controls, with ease.
The customer support from the Secureframe team has been incredible.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see some improvements in the layout and reporting generally, but Secureframe since we implemented it over 2 years ago has undergone constant improvement.
It would also be beneficial to be able to self-serve things like adding auditors - at the moment, your customer success manager must do this.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secureframe gives us a control framework for all major information security certifications, which enabled us from the outset to build a secure, compliant platform. It has saved on human resource, and enabled us to demonstrate to regulators and auditors our commitment to compliance.
Finally, Compliance Software That Doesn’t Need a PhD to Operate
What do you like best about the product?
The clarity! A founder who wears ten hats, I dont have the bandwidth for complex systems. All of this is distilled into simple tasks, such as an "Update password policy by Friday" or "Review AWS access logs"'; which allows startups to quickly and efficiently earn compliance. Our Microsoft 365 integration auto-collects to achieve 80% of our evidence, and our evidencing tools for auditor collaboration cut the time it takes to gain certification in half. The policy library was a life saver, and rather than starting from scratch, we were able to use some of their SOC 2 templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The vendor risk module is not fully developed. For example, we are still using spreadsheets for tracking third-party questionnaires — even though Secureframe provides some level of automation here, it is not as comprehensive as in other areas. Not so easy on mobile — I would also like to approve tasks from my phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 was going to make it possible for us to compete with the bigger players, but consultants were too expensive. Secureframe provided the enterprise-style compliance we needed, but for a startup. The biggest win? Getting us over the line for a million-pound contract with a large health care provider by saving 3 months off our certification timeline.
Great experience for SOC2 Compliance and beyond
What do you like best about the product?
Our team spent a lot of time looking at tools to help us achieve and manage security compliance before selecting Secureframe. We started with SOC2, and were successful. We are working on ISO 27001, and are looking at HIPAA compliance as well. Secureframe recognizes what we've achieved for each compliance, and the delta in what we'll need to do on top of the policies and activities that we already engage in to adhere to additional compliance standards. It makes it a lot easier to understand what we'll need to do for each without duplicating work. Beyond that, Secureframe does a great job of helping us track our progress and stay on top of ongoing requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Secureframe can connect with various software platforms, like Google and Microsoft. We did notice that there were some hiccups with this, such as if we were on a free version of a software. Overall, the feature set is solid, but it's good to note that you have to be on a compatible plan with some software vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secureframe helps us achieve and maintain security compliances.
Game-Changer for Our Small Business Compliance Needs
What do you like best about the product?
Secureframe makes SOC 2 compliance doable even for a small business owner with no in-house IT team like myself. The pre-assembled policy templates saved us weeks of work, and the automated evidence collection from tools like Google Workspace and QuickBooks cut out hours of manual tracking. What was a game changer for us, was the Customer Support – guiding us literally through 1o1 and even translating technical language into plain English. The dashboard is so easy and user-friendly; I can see our entire compliance status in a few seconds, which makes me feel at ease anytime our vendors audit us.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seemed a little beyond our bootstrapped reach at first, but the time saved more than paid for itself. I wish there were more integrations with some of the niche accounting tools we use — we had to manually upload some financial controls evidence, even though they technically accept PDF uploads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance, Prior to Secureframe (it was like a black hole that gobbled up time — especially right before contracts were due for renewal). Now we are perpetually audit-ready which allows us to close two enterprise opportunities that demanded SOC 2. The employee training tracking automation alone saved our 12 person team more than 20 hours a year.
Great customer service.

Great integrations and customer support
What do you like best about the product?
Secureframe has the integrations that our business needs and their customer service personnel have been very helpful, guiding us and providing recommendations.

Even with all of the integrations, there is still manual work to be done. This is minimal but it would be great to have more tools to automate even more.

Secureframe helped us easily prepare for our SOC 2 audit.
The team was very helpful in getting us set up and acclimated. Software gives us just what we need.
