Great Arena Experience

What do you like best about the product?
Great way to control documents and track quality processes. Analytics gives a great view of trends from all areas of Arena
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little tricky to navigate and find what you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analytics has been great in allowing for data trending around quality issues. The ease of the dashboards has reduced time in gathering data our users used to do manually.

Great cloud based PLM & QMS Solution!

What do you like best about the product?
Arena is very user-friendly, houses all of your data in one place and as it is cloud-based you can access it from anywhere in the world without any of the IT overhead! It is very easy to review and access the relevant information including drawings and data sheets. You can customize your quality workflows and create different custom templates as well. BOM functionality with different viewing options makes it very easy to understand and the redline view is super helpful for reviewing ECO changes. Arena help feature is robust, and the customer support team is great and very quick to respond with solutions/suggestions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration solution for standard CAD softwares is not easy to implement and can be improved. Also creating custom reports can maybe improved by somehow providing a visual preview of the columns or by some other method.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Only source of true information and houses all our quality records.

Arena streamlines the chaos

What do you like best about the product?
-Digitization of processes formally tracked via excel sheets and folder systems.
-Easy admin management tools allows for addition and removal of permissions and processes on the fly
-Responsive and friendly support teams usually respond within a day - most times within a few hours.
-Quick lookup of documents saved against item cards and quality processes streamline daily activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
-There is no way to track "decay" of items (such as calibration intervals or SOPs coming up for review) without using the Training World or a convoluted Quality Process. Would like the items themselves to have internal "decay" timers
-Grouping employees is difficult if not impossible. I may have to reach out to see if this is possible, but if it is it is not readily apparent I can make a "Quality Group", for example, and tag that group on projects across the workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-Arena is digitizing processes that were formally handled in dusty file cabinets and scattered excel files. Not only is this obviously more compliant, but it is much simpler for the team to work together and collect/manage data.
-The visibility of Change Management in Arena really lets people see exact what is going on with a part, from details and specs to sourcing and quality issues. This has cut down on requests for information significantly.

What do you like best about the product?
Customizable to our business, excellent service and support, cloud based and user friendly. Approval processes and related workflows including those outside our organization are excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with other systems can be complicated and typically require involved customization to meet API, Some existing common ERP/ MES interfaces would be appreciated. Some rigid approval rules in requests and would like to see more flexibility / automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow management for requests and approvals, a design sand box outside of our production ERP with measureable and reportable KPI and metrics to drive our business forward

What do you like best about the product?
Arena /PLM helps Medcura manage electronic documents and integrate them with other quality processes critical to regulatory compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option of reaching someone immediately for assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are not having problems where the question is applicable at this time.

What do you like best about the product?
One system to combine all your needs! It has been quite handy in increasing cooperation across teams to have both PLM & QMS functionalities in one platform. Easy to use, with a lot of documentation available & users' guidance built-in as a main feature. Easy to structure and relate data across sections and AMAZING analytics capabilities available. Overall TOP system!
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing runs on the higher-end in terms of costs, which is still worth it if you have enough budget. Integrations with other systems are possible but priced separately making it an expensive product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cooperation across engineering and operations. Enabling us to live-tracking of processes status and easy to retrieve KPI boards. Shared ownership of processes with suppliers.

What do you like best about the product?
Precise tracking on each product design changes and file attachments. Very flexible setting adjustments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The consult helped us set up the basic Arena to use years ago. Now, we are ready for expansion on available features but don't know how to go about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product design and eco updates.

Arena PLM Makes Document Control (and Stressful Deadlines) A Breeze

What do you like best about the product?
Arena PLM is the most straightforward document management system I've used in 10+ years of regulated industry experience. The interfaces are seamless, and multi-level BOM assemblies and part numbers are easily configured. In my role, the least stressful part of product releases is the Arena PLM portion.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much about Arena PLM that I don't like. It's the most streamlined document control system I've used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Arena PLM makes dynamic activities surrounding deadlines and releases less stressful. While I may not get what I need until the eleventh hour from my teams, at least I know the configuration, routing, review, approval and release of QMS records will be a breeze.

What do you like best about the product?
Quality process templates can be created per your company's needs and show the status bar.
What do you dislike about the product?
While creating templates it isn't easy to translate a paper-based company's process into Arena template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Limited users on Arena is limited to fully utilizing all the available applications of Arena because of the licences price.

Easy to Navigate

What do you like best about the product?
It is fairly easy to search for things, once you learn how to navigate the platform. The user interface is pretty clear, without too much or too little to be distracting or confusing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes difficult to pull reports. I think the reports feature could be improved to make it easier to download specific reports, or to pull very specific criteria.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A huge part of my job is data extrapolation, so I use arena to review several different facets of the Quality Department. I am able to find all the information that I need, download the reports to Excel, and have all my data at my fingertips within minutes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have someone who is able to teach you how to use it, then once you learn, it's very easy.
