I have been using Arena in different companies
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. I learnt without much training
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used many PLM and this is most friendly and easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document Control
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommand Arena. Very friendly and easy to use
Online database is good, filtering/search capabilities need work
What do you like best about the product?
Having an electronic quality management system where our procedures, documents, and drawings can be stored and revised.
What do you dislike about the product?
Multiple fields that are all essentially the same thing. Report generation or any kind of filtering (especially in the quality world) is lacking/non-existent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to build out or input a BOM seems like it should be a nice feature to have once we are able to implement it more fully.
Great PLM system for smaller company and the configuration is easy
What do you like best about the product?
As an admin, I like the fact that the configuration is easy. I've used Agile in the past and the configuration was always a long and complicated process. It's nice to be able to see the changes in the Training work space and then implement once the changes have been tested out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The training module is not the best, the reports very basic and can't be tailored to meet the business needs. The access roles are also a bit complicated, it took mt organization a few months to really understand the details and to be able to assign the correct licenses and access roles for the employees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easier and faster to get documents approved. I like the fact that the documents are automatically released once the last approver signs off on the change order. This makes the approval process more efficient.
Single Source of Truth
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is easy to configure and use. The time to get users up and running efficiently on Arena is minimal. It is a very user friendly product. And EVERYTHING is linked together, so data is so easy to find.
As well, Arena has one of the best built in HELP menus I have ever seen.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to get enhancement requests implemented into the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to retire several legacy systems as Arena now maintains all data in one location. The time to maintain data accuracy has reduced significantly. As well, the cost in maintaining several different applications has disappeared.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The cost and the ease of setup, user training, and use make Arena one of the best PLM systems on the market.
Arena is easy to use and has all the features I need
What do you like best about the product?
The search feature is very complete and it makes a lot easier to find items, changes, request and others. Especially by the fact that you can use * whenever you want to find variations of the them.
The fact that being in one tab and being able to search for content of another one is also very useful. For instance, I can be in the Items tab and still select to search for Changes without having to move to another tab.

What do you dislike about the product?
The looks of the tool is not very appealing. It looks like an old tool from the 90s. Glad to know that there is a new version coming up.
Another problem is that I would like to be able to select the changes on a item that I would like to add to an ECO without erasing the other ones. For example, the way it is today, if I have changes in BOM, Files and Sourcing, but want to add only BOM and Files change to an ECO. Whatever the chance is in Sourcing is erased. That makes it very problematic when different departments in the company have different reasons to change an item.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Configuration control, product life cycle management, BOM Management, and others. The broad range of features in only one tool makes it easier to find and manage data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Arena PLM & QMS should absolutely be considered. I can't imagine features that I would like to use that Arena doesn't have already. As a component engineer, BOM Management, ECO management and part features have served me quite well.
Quality Assurance Review of Arena
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the change order process, this electronic system has sped up our change order process significantly. Previously using a paper system would take weeks in order to submit a change, now with the electronic system the ease of use is much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that when you pull a request number that an actual number is also provided, makes it difficult to make edits to documents that require numbers. It would be much simpler to be provided with the deviation or change number at the time the request is pulled especially when drawings or batch records need their revision number updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Turnaround times on change orders are the biggest problems we have solved. This is the greatest benefit realized. As well from an organizational stand point it is much easier now to track how well training has occurred for operators of the system. Previously it was difficult to track such things but now we can pull reports with ease. As well the non-conformance system it is much easier now to pull reports and track and trend data to make conscious quality decisions for the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend they have an internal expert to assist with implementation.
4th Startup where I've used Arena
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is easy to configure, very flexible. When I have had issues, the support is quick and responsive. API interface is great for automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mostly minor UI things, like pending changes in ECOs not being as visible as they could be, being clearer about what is shared with Vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BOM management, document management
An excellent solution for a company expanding at a fast pace.
What do you like best about the product?
The integrated training modules were a major improvement over our old system that was managed in an Excel workbook. It allowed our Quality Assurance department to easily tailor training to specific job functions, set up automatic training renewal, and provide quizzes to ensure competency. No more going around an nagging everyone and no more late training!
The ability to include BOMs for each item also helps identify all associated documents that can potentially be affected by a change. We had to a lot more digging prior to using Arena to understand the entire scope of a document change. It also enables approvers perform a more comprehensive review of documents and ensures not items are missed.

What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface takes a little getting used to at first. It is somewhat difficult to navigate until you get the hang of it as there are many different modules and tabs that first time users may not be familiar with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arena provides transparency to the entire team regarding the current status and progress of new design projects as well as changes to the QMS system and documents. This avoids confusion and redundancy when communicating with other team members and makes meetings more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you fully understand your processes when building them into Arena. This greatly improves the effectiveness and versatility of your work flows. Also ensure that you simulate every scenario prior to implementation to avoid any unexpected work flow issues.
Getting better, but can be better
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best about arena is the Ability to the withdraw COs, that's great. No need to ask Doc control. I've used reliance and element document control systems and they didn't have that function. This a great function save on time by not having to go to doc control to withdraw my CO.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way redlines get added to COs, Adding redlines to COs is somewhat cumbersome, not straight forward. I would like to able to drag in redlines and clean copies on the same page and not have to navigate through the system to link it. Also don't like the way clean copies get uploaded. On the reliance system, I would go to one page and on the bottom of that page I was able to upload my clean copy and my redlines. Very simple and very easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's straight forward for the most part. There is room for improvement
Arena!
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is simple to use and navigate. It gets me exactly to where I wanted to go quickly and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
This by far the best I used and can't think of anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to retrieve information.Saves time.
