A good PLM tool to track the changes and item history
What do you like best about the product?
I have liked working on this because we can track down the history of each item, changes & projects.
And specially Arena analytics is out standing to get the complete report that is going on in arena.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much which we dislike in the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working on the changes mostly and benefits of the projects we can assign to the others, when compared to other PLM tools it is more flexible to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Everything in the Arena tool is perfect.
If suppose having an developed app is good like in android or ios, which makes everyone to see their stuff in the arena by their mobile access.
Mobiles are ease of use to everyone and will be pretty fast to use, they can approve the changes at anytime without their machine turning ON.
Making an developed app will makes the easy use for the users

Arena PLM Review
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of implementation and product support. Once implemented the software is very good and easy to use. Of all of the various softwares that our company uses, Arena is at the top of the list.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost nothing. I would have to give a lot of thought into how the software could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was brought onboard to help our company move from being a product development company into the OEM phase. We needed to get BOM control in place and inventory control in place. Arena helped us do just that and interfaced with our ERP system to solve the inventory control problem. As the person responsible for setting up our systems and IT, the choice to go with Arena was one of my best decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have recommend Arena to many others. It is a very well thought out product.
15 years and still best in class
What do you like best about the product?
The sheer usability of Arena is unmatched, both from the standpoint of universal access through the cloud-based interface as well as the flexibility and fluid customization of the workspace. Simply put, you can set up Arena PLM to support nearly any project you can imagine from your PHONE is a matter of minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
After more than a decade as a dedicated power user, there really isn't much to dislike (or even ask for!) from the software. Updates are frequent and well documented (and announced), feature requests are taken seriously and bug fixes are handled quickly. There are a few bells & whistles I've been suggesting for a while that I'm still waiting to premiere (some tweaks to change order routing and sign off would be SUPER helpful) but for the most part I am one happily content customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The management of a complex, high mix, deeply configurable product is a significant challenge in itself, more so once off-shore vendors and contract manufacturers are thrown into the picture. Arena gives us a place accessible to ALL that can be the Repository of Record, that single source of up-to-date, reliable data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start early, and don't be afraid to release parts to higher levels as soon as they are ready. Part numbers are cheap, and revisions are too, and it's better to err on the side of having too MUCH data as backup than too little. Being able to revert back to earlier stages of development, whether to explore previously disregarded design paths or recover from a mistake is immensely useful, and Arena helps companies do that with a minimum of disruption.
Quality Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Arena Quality Module has made my efforts to become ISO-9001 2015 certified much easier and organized, it is configurable to your system rather than being a canned product. You easily build your own forms within Arena. Change module and BOM management are very good.
Our program manager Joshua (at Arena) is always available and helpful whenever we need him.

What do you dislike about the product?
During a round of investor financing we were temporarily unable to pay Arena for 60 days. Software was shut down without warning on day 60, one month prior to our ISO-9001 audit, this was very damaging to our schedule and company. Arena Finance dept. was very hard nosed about the issue even when 2nd round financing timeline was described to them. Until now I have had nothing bad to report about Arena PLM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid design of electronic consumer products
The PLM for everyone!
What do you like best about the product?
Arena is very intuitive and can be used very easily by everyone. It makes for an easy transition and training required is minimal.
- Its very easy to get help one way or another - use Arena Help or Fast Feedback.
- Implementation was very smooth.

What do you dislike about the product?
- User interface can be improved.
- Since a lot of manufacturing companies have software and hardware components to deal with in the manufacturing process, Arena should consider improving the product to enable managing software items and software projects (as a workflow) as well.
- Currently, Arena does not allow for more than 1 person to be a project manager. This should be modified.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Process improvements and streamlining processes that exist in various other tools and systems.
- Better manage our bills of materials.
- Improve contextual communication through Scribe.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ease of use and simplicity is what drove us to choose Arena PLM and also with the fact that almost every single process in Arena - Requests, Changes, Quality processes, etc are very well defined and closely aligned with the needs of most organizations makes it a very obvious choice.
Good. But can be improved
What do you like best about the product?
Organization, ease of access, and reliability. I appreciate the cloud storage because sometimes our servers go down.
What do you dislike about the product?
When our PCB is updated, it updated all assemblies to use that new PCB. This makes unwanted changes to some of our BOMs in production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for our product library. It's great to keep track of all items and for BOMs that we can send to production.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a steep learning curve, but it's worth it.
Comprehensive PLM

Server uptime.

What do you dislike about the product?
Boolean searches lack many operators, such as <>, OR, NOT, >, <.
File downloads lack algorithmic naming (would prefer concatenated parameters, such as item #, revision, status, ISO date/time for last file modification, "75008080_REVB_Working_2016-05-04_1354.zip".
File download zips could use an auto-generated readme.txt file that lists file metadata, such as description.
Expensive supplier access.
