Signavio Process Manager - Create a Wikipedia of Your Business
What do you like best about the product?
Signavio is a complete online experience for process improvement. I appreciate the QuickModel mode for capturing process details at interviews, when people are talking and you naturally feel rushed. Once the QuickModel is done you can enhance and fine tune the model.
Custom attributes make Signavio flexible. And there various ways to configure custom attributes.
Error checking helps to stay on course with the BPMN 2.0 standard.
For capturing processes that have systems and IT components Signavio has a built in smarts - systems are clearly visible on the screen, including the connects and dependencies.
Then comes the Dictionary: all commonly used items (reports, tasks, documents, systems, etc.) should be placed there so that your entire team or organization operate using the same common set. Having a dictionary was huge to us.
Once the model is ready it can be published to the Collaboration Hub - we consider it a process Wikipedia that can be used by anyone inside the organization, vendors and new joiners.
That's what I call end-to-end in process improvement.
Bonus: scenarios, bottlenecks and planning. You can run simulations to look at process resourcing, identify bottlenecks, look at ways to improve. We use that function to calculate ROI and present to the management.
All output can be saved to PDF, Word and Excel.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think there's room for improvement on the reporting. Currently the reports are good, but Process Modeler report choices can be enhanced with analytics, professionally styled output (management-ready) and better Excel export options. And of course we'd like to see a custom report builder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process Improvement and ROI of automation across finance and tax. Optimization of shared services.
We were able to see a clean picture of organizational areas that needed improvement. Management appreciated the scenario planning and ROI calculations.
Others in the organization can learn about the processes and discover improvement opportunities.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Put time into teaching your team on the theory and basics of BPMN. This has nothing to do with the tool - it is a foundation that needs to be built before creating content in Signavio or any other BPMN tool and getting the most out of it. Get Signavio consulting or a 3rd party consultant to do the training. Then ask the experts for a mentoring period of 2-3 months.

Useful for process modeling
What do you like best about the product?
It’s very easy to pick up the software and get going. There’s not too much of a learning curve, and process diagrams look much cleaner than other competing programs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were parts of the interface that were very finnicky and not intuitive. You could not add swim lanes or pools very easily after adding all the events if you had made a mistake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s very easy to model everyday processes and publish them.
Great tools for workflow process and also customizable
What do you like best about the product?
Customizable process depending on our needs and capability to utilize and optimize depending on the flow of the business
What do you dislike about the product?
Rather complicated view and unnatural way of how people would use the tools. The tools should be simplified on what are the things that need to be shown and what shouldn't.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking and tracing the processes and codifying it into system processes that people need to follow. This will help in reducing to teach people on what are the things that they need to know because it has been codified into the system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you wanted to have a more customized process but still be able to manage all the processes that you need, I believe this would be the tools that you need to get things up and running as per what you wanted

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, copy/paste, overall speed of the product ability tonreuse multiple components
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding removing swimlanes to diagrams is a disaster - especially adding a sub/up level when you have to add two lanes at a sublevel and then delete one. Not great. Support and training is also a bit questionable - I've been notified of a certificate upgrade too late in my opinion(very last minute) and through no workflow of the system despite being an admin. For training I've been pointed to external consulting partners back in 2015. Integration with SAP SolMan also not great. Also not great in terms of simulations in terms of notifications of elements missing and suggestion to fix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process flowing for complex financial and procurement processes. Clarity of process is the main benefit for trainees.

Easy to use BMP tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple, and quite easy to understand, you don't have to have experience with other BMP tools before to be able to work with this tool. Of course you might get confused in the beginning because of the expanding panels that you have to access but once you figure that out it is just click, click double-click and drag. Another good thing is that you can expert a live version of your work to a html site, and you can have a workflow like "live" and accessible from outside signavio for other users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I must say that having the same interface and same functionality for the past 4 years it is kind of boring, you will get to master it, but some smoother gui or maybe some other new features, like making BMP for different areas of a company not only workflows doe development would be much more useful. In few words more design options would be great so that it covers a lot more areas of interest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have started working with this as the only mean here in the old company i have worked in, and it did his job, it resulted nice workflows and helpful presentation of those workflows, here i'm talking about dev workflows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have to choose, you can choose a more comprehensive tool with more features and with more explanations when it comes to BMP. I will not name here any but I'm guessing you can figure it out for yourself, also if you are working a a small environment this is all you need.

Very simple, clean UI, easy to work with other collaborators on your business diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price tag is a little steep, but it's a professional tool.
