What do you like best about the product?
I like how user-friendly the back end of Hubspot is. It's easy to use as an account admin. Creating anything is pretty simple, plus most things integrate nicely with Hubspot, making it user-friendly with existing systems (websites, social media, payment platforms, etc). The customer service is the best part of Hubspot! There are so many options for connecting with customer service, which is perfect if you're in the office and can only message chat, or Zoom + phone if you're working from home. The customer service reps are so knowledgeable about your specific account and know the system so well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the pricing structure was easier to figure out. Sometimes I'm curious about different features and what they'd cost and it takes me a quick minute to figure it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use email marketing, social media scheduling, landing pages, and lead capture. We like how easily everything integrates with one another and how simple it is to create content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it!

Everything in one spot

What do you like best about the product?
I like using HubSpot to place social media posts each week. I use it for Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and Twitter to place all the messages for a week. I use this tool because I can schedule the entire week of posts at one time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that if I sort my blogs and open one the go back, I have to resort the list all over again. It doesn't remember that I only wanted to see published posts or whatever. Super annoying and time consuming.

I also wish it was easier to upload social media images directly into a defined folder not just a general open folder with every other image that is uploaded.

I don't know coding. I wish it was easier to create/build the webpages. Things like rounded corner boxes are extremely difficult. Also, even though I have certain fonts used on every page, when I add a new text field, that font is not available in the list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like being able to post to several social media companies all from one spot. I also like using a program that does more than just social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a product that pretty much does it all.

HubSpot is a powerful tool

What do you like best about the product?
Our company uses Hubspot for marketing emails, and it does the job very well. We send out email notifications to parents and schools about school picture days and events, surveys, coordinator emails, etc. Our workflows are mostly deal-based, because some contacts (parents) belong to several companies (schools), and a deal marries the two together in a workflow.
Ours is a business type unique to HubSpot's general audience, but it satisfies most of our needs. Hubspot tech support does a great job addressing our needs on a custom basis and helping us create workarounds for our unique practices.
The flexibility offered in object filtering is essential. We deal with thousands of schools, which include hundreds and thousands of people within each one, so filtering for specific properties is much needed for reporting, troubleshooting, communication, etc.
It is great to be able to see the action history and details for workflows and deals. We use them a lot for troubleshooting issues with emails not being sent or being sent at the wrong time.
Personalization tokens are a life saver. They reduce the number of email templates by personalizing emails using workflows.
We do not know every function of HubSpot, and it is very complex to know everything about it. That is where HubSpot technical team steps in and educates about different capabilities and unexplored options, supporting our needs and responding to our requests as they come.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to see a HubSpot article about the acceptable HTML tags to use in workflow personalization tokens. HTML code evolves all the time, and it may take a long time to figure out which tags in a workflow will produce an effect and which will not.
Custom reporting feels a bit limited - not enough flexibility there. For example, an ability to create a report that shows email performance across more than 10 emails. Currently, 10 email comparison is the limit.
There is a flaw in the way the workflows organize enrollment triggers. If a workflow is cloned to modify one trigger, the triggers will not be in the same order, and it is difficult to compare two almost-identical workflows for accuracy. In our workflows with sometimes more than 10 enrollment triggers, it becomes very difficult to keep things straight when the triggers are scattered in each one of them.
It would be nice to be able to clone deals. When testing workflows, it is necessary to replicate or troubleshoot an issue with a deal-based workflow.
It would be nice to be able to sync certain email elements/sections throughout several different email templates. It often happens that we have many email templates with only a few differences, and maintenance of such emails can be arduous.
It would be nice to be able to disable an Unsubscribe link for internal email previews (while keeping other links and buttons) - we don't want our associates and territory reps accidentally unsubscribing themselves while reviewing a new email template.
It would be nice to be able to drag/reorder workflow enrollment triggers.
Some Object Portalt Default Properties cannot be removed from general view, even if not used by our company at all. That steals a lot of real estate on the contact or a deal page. For example, in a Deal, we do not use Forecast Probability/Category/Amount (we don't use forecasts). We also don't use "deals" in its pure sense, they are merely a link from a contact to a company - so we do not need to see the Deal Probability, Deal Type, Closed Lost/Won/Date. We do not use Hubspot for communicating with customers, so we do not Last Contacted or any Activity Dates. We do not use Hubspot for Sales Revenue data, so we do not need to see anything related to that. All these unnecessary fields are "stuck" in each Deal page by default. It would be nice to just "Add To Your View" the properties we would like to add, and not have anything else forced upon us. All this is also true for Contact properties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending picture day reminders and image download links to parents, online order reports to schools, surveys, coordinator emails, promotions and special offers, customer transactional emails, just to name a few. The benefits are that it is highly customizable, compared to other hubs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep educating yourself in HubSpot capabilities - they keep growing and expanding. Don't be shy to suggest improvements.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use with templates and being able to clone emails. Keeps our language streamlined and on message with similar verbiage used across all of our communications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting in to making templates for emails is a little harder to do. It would be nice to have the ability to make templates without having to start a new email message.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our messaging uniform has been very helpful. It also made rebranding our message content and landing pages very easy when we went through that earlier this year.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of the help tool and training modules.

Our team loves using HubSpot Marketing Hub

  • April 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Contacts all in one place, scheduling social posts in advance, the formatted newsletter feature, automated workflows for lead nurturing, Hubspot forms and ability to connect sales and marketinng.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflows and automation were a learning curve, but super helpful once we had a good understanding of how to use them. Also, scheduling social posts in Hubspot doesn't have all of the functionality (tagging people or sharing multiple photos on LinkedIn for example.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into how our emails perform (open rate/click rate) and which customers/prospects are the most engaged with our content. We also have all of our contacts in one place and multiple team members can update properties in real-time or add new contacts.
