HubSpot Marketing Hub - Great Tool, Always evolving

  • October 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having all of my marketing tools (email, social, website, and blog) contained in one, user-friendly application is incredibly convenient. In the past, I'd use Constant Contacts for email, Wordpress for web design, and HootSuite for social management. Now, with one simple login, I can manage, plan, execute, and analyze all three of my major digital marketing channels.

Their customer support is fantastic. I've been able to quickly chat a CSR and they typically solve my issue within a few minutes. Their support reps are not just troubleshooters. They have in-depth knowledge of how the platform works and how to use it. I know that sounds not too impressive, but that's not the standard. Many CSR's just take your case and push it to a technician to handle. HubSpot only does that in complicated cases. 8/10 times, their CSR can solve the issue within a few minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The application can be lacking in some areas. Thank goodness, HubSpot is always evolving and making updates. They allow you to submit ideas and upvote others' ideas. However, even if an idea has strong support from its customers, it doesn't always make it to production. And if it does, it may take years to get recognized, put in development, and then executed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're creating an integrated marketing approach. All of our digital collateral is now visually similar. We've realized that we can tie our website and email efforts together, which allows us to dig deeper and understand our customer interactions better.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that our emails, social media, and website landing pages are all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency! All of our contacts live in the same place, and our website forms fill in our contacts automatically, which is very helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want an all-in-one tool for social media, email marketing, and website pages, this is it!

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface, it's a very user-friendly platform. I like the options for email design and web design and also think the website and email reporting is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I better understood how to get proper ROI reporting from hubspot and tracking a contact for lead all to the way to customer. I'm also a bit confused about the automation options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stronger CTA's within our website, higher quality MQLs from email campaigns and website forms. It's also much easier to build in integrated campaigns compared to our last tool as well as nurture workflows.

The best way to manage inbound marketing

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot makes it easy to set up email and create workflows. It's also really easy to create great blogs. Just drag and drop content. No need for lots of code knowledge.

I like having all my social media accounts linked too. It allows you to have an overview of everything. It's also great when you're in a rush and can filter by most interaction and then simply clone an old popular tweet.

The customer service is always really quick and the team are so friendly and helpful. It's always a pleasure chatting to someone on the help chat feature. That's definitely one of my favourite things about Hubspot.
What do you dislike about the product?
I suppose it's on the expensive side, but it's worth it. Other than I don't really have anything that I would say I dislike about it at all!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Hubspot means I can keep in touch with prospects based on their interests. The automations are fantastic. Takes so much of the manual work out of it.

It allows me to work with a simple, visual workflow map that really makes a difference to how easy and efficiently I can get them created. It really is the system for designers!

The email templates are really nice to work with too. You don't have to be a master of code to create really beautiful emails. If my next company doesn't have Hubspot for marketing, it might be a deal breaker...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely link up all your social media accounts!

Great fit for our needs

  • October 15, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot Marketing Hub is enjoyable to use - ease of use is one of the reasons we chose it. I'm also constantly discovering new functionalities and interesting ways to use workflows and pull reports. About a year after starting with Marketing Hub at our mid-size tech company, using it for B2B marketing, we added the Hubspot Sales Hub to our tech stack. Together, this has streamlined and improved our sales enablement efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only challenge has been ensuring that I, having never implemented a Hubspot integration with Salesforce, understood the sync and inclusion lists well. I made a few mistakes during implementation regarding email permissions, sync settings (two-way versus one-way, etc.), and duplicate fields. However, these problems have been easy to sort out with the help of our technical consultant. Just wish I had been better versed during Sales Hub onboarding, specifically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved the problems of having more frequent and better targeted communication with our B2B prospective and current clients, through a monthly client newsletter, webinar series through the integration with Zoom and SurveyMonkey, and other campaigns. We've also been able to follow-up on inbound lead conversions, to see what happens after the handoff to sales and what the revenue impact has been, through reports and dashboards.

Easy and powerful platform for marketing

  • October 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity and user experience of the platform. It's an easy tool to self-learn and use by myself or with a small team. We use HubSpot for social media, workflows, email marketing, paid campaigns, analytics, and more. With all the various features we use, they are all fairly simple to navigate and easy to put together through an integrated marketing effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see more robust ABM capabilities including website/landing page personalization based on the account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building an inbound engine and helping the company drive revenue through marketing efforts. We've been able to achieve more new sales, higher MQLs, and better funnel conversion using HubSpot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- Make sure both your sales and marketing teams can use a platform like HubSpot.

My experiences with HubSpot Marketing Hub

  • October 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use, how fast I can get my work done, and the automation tools. Also, the Blog editor is very intuitive. It is easy to create landing pages, forms, and e-mails and it does not take too much effort. Not to mention the support, I always get my answers fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
That the people who receive my replies to their comments under our blog posts, don't get notified about the reply.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reaching international audiences with our content on blog, web pages and landing pages as well as reaching them via drip campaigns. I also use it to analyze the results of my activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly recommend it as it makes a marketing manager's life easier.

HubSpot's Marketing Hub makes it easy!

  • October 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I mostly use the social tools and the email platform. They are both intuitive to use and make it easy to keep track of all of your marketing efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the changes they make to the platform are frustrating. For example, the drag-and-drop email editor is clunky and doesn't always play nice with older email templates. There are occasional random graphical glitches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can be hard to keep track of email metrics without a CMS like HubSpot. HubSpot makes it easy by showing you charts of open/click data that can be sorted in many different ways, totally customizable. My organization has a lot of social media channels that can be hard to keep track of, especially when you need to know about engagement. In HubSpot I can check on comments, likes and reshares in one location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! I like HubSpot for its ease of use, excellent customer support and versatility in regards to how customizable metrics reports are.

Good but tries to do too much

  • October 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy you can create lists based on various customer and company properties. Setting up workflows is also easy, despite some limitations. The updated reports look much better and it's nice that you can bring in several properties and still get a simple bar chart overview of your data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels like Hubspot tries to do too much, and nothing 100%. Besides serving as a CRM and email automation, it offers chatbots, social media scheduling, landing page creation, ads management, reporting, etc. And this is jus the Marketing Hub! Most of the latter functions are quite basic too, or have major limitations.

For example, it's awesome that it allows creating ads audiences straight from the dashboard, but the audience match rate is usually very poor (most recently we had <5% when matching Hubspot->LinkedIn, but managed to get 80% when uploading the same list exported as .csv to the LinkedIn native advertising platform). Or with chatbots - the workflows are easy to set up, but reporting is almost impossible because it doesn't allow to see specific branch performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hubspot helps us solve data disparity between various platforms. We can sync customer data between Hubspot, Salesforce, Outreach, etc.
Hubspot helps us track and report inbound lead generation efforts. We have created our own lead scoring system and use dashboards to track performance.
Hubspot helps us create targeting audiences for paid advertising, email marketing, ABM, etc. We create customer lists based on specific need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you'll be able to integrate with your other platforms.
Make sure you establish clear guidelines for list naming, workflow creation, etc.

Hubspot workflows

  • October 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Workflows are good tools to automate certain types of data classification:
- the visualization is clear and user friendly;
- there are plenty of rules that can be set;
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflow set up is not very agile. Since a workflow can have a huge impact in terms of data categorization, a lot of time is spent to understand if everything is set up properly before turning it on.
Another point is that it is not clear whether rules can overwrite themselves and if yes, what is the prioritization pattern ? ( e.g. the last workflow can overwrite the others )
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflows are useful to enrich companies data starting from contacts ones.
