Easy to use & easy to learn
What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot was the first CRM our company has used. We have been users of HubSpot for the last few years and both our sales & marketing teams find it extremely useful. I think one of their best features is the easy to use landing pages that we have so many different uses for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The social media tool is not great with posting or with the analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to see how our marketing efforts tie directly to our sales team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
HubSpot had a great implementation team for us and continually checks in and is readily available for any questions.
Overall great, there are a few things that could be improved...
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to send out a blast across all social media platforms, make unique email templates, and keep up with all of contacts. We're able to fill a client need that we weren't able to do before. I also appreciate that we have a rep that takes the time to hop on a conference call a few times a year (not too much, not too little) to go over our needs to make sure we are getting all we can out of HubSpot. We have learned A LOT from these calls. We are also able to reach out via email or call to our rep if we have any quick questions or issues. The social media portion is extremely easy to use. Do I have to write a book to get this $15 giftcard?
What do you dislike about the product?
Little things that are hard to explain: When you're making an eblast and you click on something to change the setting, the pop up box will cover what you're trying to change and you can't make the change. Sometimes when you change something in a template (accidentally delete a picture or text) and we can't get it back to the way it was so we have to start completely over from scratch. For instance, if we accidentally delete out a paragraph and we try to put it back, we cannot for the life of us get the same exact font, font size, format, etc. to match the rest of the text. So, we'll have to trash that email and start completely over. I sometimes feel like you need to be a graphic artist to use it easily, which I am not. The email format isn't the same as it is in Outlook, so when our clients who have Outlook get the emails, they're off. For example, spacing between pictures and text will completely disappear when the actual email goes out. Or pictures will be off by a few lines. Or the spacing between text will be completely different. Sometimes we will end up with a random bullet point somewhere in an email that we cannot take off. The pixels need to be more granular and not just 600 pixels divided by 2-6. Mainly, I just feel like the email portion is just no easy to use sometimes and insanely frustrating. The social media portion, however, is extremely easy to use and I've never had any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot has helped us fulfill a client need that we weren't able to do before. It makes sending out multiple blast and social posts easier. It also helps with building our database and managing social media which we also could not do before. Our brokers love that we can pull analytics to show their clients. I don't personally make them, but I know my team members enjoy the ease of making landing pages through HubSpot. We LOVE that we can track who clicks on our digital adds by embedding our special HubSpot link in it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's a lot they offer so its easy to get a little overwhelmed and just stick to what you know. To get past this, you really need to use whoever your rep is and try to set up calls at least every quarter. They will point out something that you aren't utilizing yet, show you how to use it, you can give yourself "homework" making sure you are utilizing what they showed you, then at the next call you go over it again and then move on to learn something new.
The Hubspot software is powerful and capable with few downsides.
What do you like best about the product?
Automation is amazing. It is extremely helpful in building "on-going" "personalized" emailing campaigns that can just run without maintenance from us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the price is incredibly difficult to justify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, automation is a big benefit in solving our problems, especially with retention. By having on-going cultivation campaigns that are just setup to run, that keeps us from needing to manage each case individually. We can focus on big picture campaigns for donation asks, while those auto-campaigns we've set up can run cultivation day and night.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hubspot is extremely powerful in performing marketing automation. If you need a solid system that is reliable, Hubspot is the way to go.
Hubspot has been GREAT for our marketing office!
What do you like best about the product?
We have a small marketing department of 2 people so being able to use Hubspot's workflows to automate email campaigns for families in the sales funnel has been a huge time saver. Additionally, we love the social media notifications when people mention us (so we know when to comment or re-tweet/post) as well as the ability to schedule blogs (and the automatic re-posting of blogs to social media). All time savers for small shops!
What do you dislike about the product?
Hubspot is not 100% customizable for every type of business. We are a small independent school for grades 6-12 (approx. 700 students) and some of the sales tools don't work for us because we don't work with "Companies" we work with families. We'd love to be able to group families the way you can group contacts into a company but... it doesn't work that way. Yet. Hubspot does always seem to be updating and improving based on customer requests so... I keep asking!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The analytics and reports are fantastic for proving the ROI of marketing spending (and our time effort!). And again, the automation of things really helps save time (and eliminate the need for reminders for repeat actions).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely do the demo. And Hubspot has lots of free levels of service, so it doesn't have to be a huge investment. They also have free "certifications" that show you how to use everything in Hubspot, so the training is quick and painless (and the certifications can be added to your resume).
So many options
What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot allows you to do almost all of our marketing on 1 platform. The amount of things that I can do within Hubspot is amazing. From social to landing pages and emails we are able to keep our content consistent within Hubspot. With Hubspot being such a large company there are so many integrations and templates to choose from. We can make beautiful landing pages and emails from templates that 3rd party vendors have already put the time in to complete. Also Hubspot is constantly upgrading its software so there are constantly new features to try out.
What do you dislike about the product?
With so many features we don't use them all and some don't always work the way we want them to. Social images don't always appear correctly when posting, some templates for emails and landing pages can be difficult to edit and they can make it difficult to create lists based on unsubscribes and bounces. It also would be nice if they had more options with pop-up forms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hubspot helps us keep all of our marketing in one place as opposed to having multiple softwares for different functions. It is very easy to keep comprehensive and up to date contact lists. The landing pages and emails are amazing with so many customizable options. It's also simple to create subscription types and lists for email sends.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a very comprehensive software so we don't always use all of the features. Be sure that your company has the resources to really use Hubspot to its full potential.
Easy& Convenient
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the social tool in Hubspot. It's nice to be able to plan, create, & schedule out social posts on multiple platforms ahead of time. It's a better use of my time vs. logging into each one separately and re-creating the same/similar information multiple times per week
What do you dislike about the product?
There's just a lot I still don't know about. Education offerings is great but sometimes don't know where to allocate my time with so many options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving A LOT of time. Also better tracking/reporting on both marketing and sales efforts to see what is and isn't working.
Good functional set of tools
What do you like best about the product?
You have all your digital marketing tools integrated in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a big fan of their customer service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me save time when handling many social media accounts and displays analytics in a very straightforward manner.
Overall, HubSpot is the best tool I've ever used. Hands down.
What do you like best about the product?
I think what is most helpful about HubSpot is the large database of blog posts, downloadable content, FAQ, one on one support, etc. that provide both value and a searchable knowledge base to use while designing in HubSpot. HubSpot Academy is also a perk!
I also find the e-mail builder tool to be helpful. Mostly because you can find all of your assets in a shared space and the template builder makes it easy too. I just discovered that there's a drag and drop e-mail builder and it seems like it'll be the next best thing to start using. It simplifies the process of building an e-mail!
Also, blog optimization is a helpful tool. I've been using that to boost our SEO and to start building pillar pages for our content.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the editing features don't always work as expected but there is usually a workaround and support is always just a phone call away. I wouldn't want to build my entire site using HubSpot just because some of the features seem to be glitchy.
I also work in between the template's code and the builder so sometimes the code gets jumbled. Most users probably won't delve into their site's CSS.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving some coding issues and the html/CSS builders are essential and easy to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I say go for it - everything is included. Social, web, landing, e-mail and more. Your marketing team won't need anything else.
Great for small marketing departments
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful integrations, clean reporting, easy to use automation, very customizable, and best in class knowledge base/customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
High entry cost and too many upsell features. Also - Hubspot's interaction with Joomla seems a little lacking. Functional but not smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hubspot is my marketing hub, ties into my website, and I try to run everything through it to capture metrics. Hubspot does email marketing, drip campaigns, lead scoring, social media, blogging, competition analysis, SEO backed landing pages, form captures, marketing attribution - all tied to my CRM.
Great automation capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot is constantly improving its automation and integration capabilities. They take into account customer feedback to build improvements. I like that they built it for marketing in mind and the inbound marketing strategy is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard sometimes to personalize it to our own processes and industry specificities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are automating a lot of processes with HubSpot, from email to deal processing. We are using it to track revenue attribution, lead sources, in general where our incoming revenue comes from. We use the reports and dashboards daily and we have the revenue part of our organization working in it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The price is growing with your company. It needs to be set up correctly but after that, it makes a great investment.
