Siemens NX 12 CAD
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple to use and pretty quickly you are able to get the hang of modeling in Siemens NX 12 in the CAD environment. There is modeling, assembly, layouts, constraints, reference sets, arrangements and sequencing that help you better visualize your models within an assembly. It is a super simple implementation with SAP PLM environment and is used weekly if not on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have a downside for siemens NX CAD other than that you are limited to what you can design because of licensing. There is a lot more potential for the CAD environment but depending on what your field/company needs that's all they'll buy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving tolerancing, layouts and clearances that we might need to see virtually before applying it in real life at our plant. Meaning that we are seeing it on the computer before hitting or going out of tolerance before installing any sort of equipment, tooling, assemblies and much more.

What do you like best about the product?
NX CAD provides an advanced set of tools for product design, modeling, and simulation, all integrated into one platform. The parametric modeling, assembly management, and drafting features are extremely accurate and reliable. It is particularly strong in handling large and complex assemblies without slowing down. The user interface, once you get familiar with it, allows seamless transitions between design, simulation, and manufacturing modules, making it a comprehensive solution for engineering teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software requires a steep learning curve for new users, and training is often necessary to unlock its full potential. Licensing costs can be high for smaller organizations, and updates sometimes introduce minor compatibility issues. The interface, while powerful, can feel overwhelming due to the sheer number of features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX CAD enables precise product design and validation, reducing design errors before production. Its simulation and analysis tools save time and resources by identifying potential flaws early. For 3D printing, it helps optimize parts for manufacturability and minimizes rework. The integrated environment improves efficiency by reducing dependency on multiple design platforms.

I like its strong integration feature, it can handles big data files

Some times software crash when we open big size data files, it can take time

Each feature has its own license, sometimes very expensive.

Creation of measurement models for 3D printing with WAAM.
In my opinion NX is a very reliable and intuitive Programm.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the structure of the commands and the way you can define your objects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the functions are overcomplex and you dont get a good help for understanding what column, value and so on is for what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX offers a lot different options for us to design our product. We try to develop fabric covers for our furniture in NX and we believe that NX is the right tool for it. It will need some improvement but the basis is there.

It's better than catia and autocad. It is easy to use.

Every time changed lay out. it is very confused to me
