Best in Class for CAD Design
What do you like best about the product?
Initially I started the use of NX CAD for plastic product design. It is very user friendly. It's parametric modeling capabilities, allowing users to create designs that are easily editable and adaptable to changes. It's single platform means .prt format for part file, assembly & drawing makes the use of it for shifting the module provide the greater efficiency.
Currently I'm working as application engineer for NX Software. The overall process of Installation, Introduction to custome is very easy & simplified.
Also customer satisfaction rate is very good. New UI which is launch after the NX 12 is very interactive & helpful for new designer.
The customer support from the siemens in the form of IR is very good.

What do you dislike about the product?
NX has extensive feature set & capabilities, which can be challeng for new user for learning.
Siemens NX cost of licenses can be a significant factor for smaller businesses or individual users.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the most advance benifit that the user are getting is single platform is available in which you can get the capability of CAD, CAM & CAE.It have the capability to deal with complex designs with the help of advance parametric modeling & surfacing tools. This benefits users by allowing them to create intricate and innovative designs for products with diverse requirements. Its capability of open platform for the customization offers the user to tailor the software to their specific needs & workflow. Features for effective data management, version control, and collaboration are important key factos.

NX CAD is best & it is in easy to operate
What do you like best about the product?
NX Cad is ease to use and we can create design & can merge single & double product , implemention is esay , customer support aslo very happy in this tool , regular using this tool and ease to integrate NX cad & camp

NX CAD i am using last 2 years & i didn't face any issue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mass property is too useful by Advanced mass property tool by this my issue is resolved.
NX CAD is the most time efficient way to deliver a design
What do you like best about the product?
Time Saving Tools through robust synchronous modeling and unified part/drawing files allow complex designs to be made. Scalable to teams by allowing teams to make modifications to the 3D model without understanding design tree or even on dumb solid models (parasolids/STP). Search Bar allows for easy to find commands. Tight integration with Teamcenter PDM and PLM system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Additional Features require several modules to enable. Features are difficult to self-discover. Proficiency is gained through training, word of mouth, or focused learning time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX CAD is industry-standard CAD tool. Out of major CAD packages, it is the fastest at manipulating designs and the robustness of the synchronous modeling tools allows editing of vendor parts without a feature tree or working on co-worker CAD

Excellent part modelling, assembly, drafting, sheet metal and wire harness capabilities

Compared with CATIA surface modelling capabilities are limited and takes more time for the designer to get the same finish

Physical design is entirely done using NX thus enabling product designers come up with new designs sooner than competitor

What do you like best about the product?
It offers built in CAE integration within the same environment. Its like all in one package..I like it most.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even for a simple action users need to search through too many options..I feel there are many duplicate tools for very similar task...Categorization of tools need to be improved...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX helps in Designing our products,it helps in completing interference check of complex assemblies.
NX is the best CAD program but I have never seen complicated like this

NX has a great tools for every design problems. and there are so many associative information in the prt file for integration with teamcenter. And User interface is better than CATIA

Too complicated. Yes there are solution for every things in NX but User experience isn't good as User Interface.

Our colleagues makes our product design with NX. And NX has a great tool for aerospace and aircraft design. We are using this methods when designing aerospace parts in our company.

- Siemens continuously works on the development of NX, as they release new patches monthly and new versions every 6–12 months.
- Sketching and modeling are faster because of the shortcuts available for dimensioning and applying constraints.
- In-built machine simulation is available for NX CAM. So that collision can be eliminated in practical operations
- Adoption and implementation of NX CAD/CAM are very easy.

- Accessing libraries is a tedious task for some NX modules.
- Choosing the right modules to meet your requirements could be a difficult process as we cannot add any add-on modules randomly.
