Powerful CAD Software with all Practical Features
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using it for 3d wire and spool harnesses es and it has been excellent. The wire harness designer is very easy to use. The other side of NX CAD is the manufacturing side where I do assembly and design for product development. This is a very powerful tool for small companies as it allows you to make manufacturing changes without going back to the design process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have minor complaints about the stability of the software, citing occasional crashes or sluggishness when using more demanding features.
Also, the lack of an intuitive workflow and poor usability can make it challenging for beginners to get up to speed with the program quickly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using it for 3d wire and spool harnesses and it has been excellent. I am still learning but it is a great tool. I have used SolidEdge, Catia, Creo, and NX CAD. By far NX is the easiest to learn and use.

The thing that I most disliked is the limited surfacing tool. One has to get separate surfacing license of he/she has to design some surfacing components

User interface when I started using was a bit sturdy & limited, they have improved the user interface very much

Cloud integration for concurrent working with multiple user requires additional Teamcenter licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use NX for product designing from scratch to digital simulation.
We user several modules of NX like Gateway, modeling, drafting, sheet metal, routing electrical mechanical. NX-OPEN and KF.

NX CAD has multiple and powerful tools to create geometry and surfaces, a user-friendly GUI interface, and layers that have the flexibility to visualize your design.

the drafting in siemens nx is a bitty laggy and sketch creation in the drafting application can be improved, and in the modeling environment, also a fully contained sketch sometimes gives errors when we change relations, and assembly constraints could be better.
backward file compatibility should be implemented if a file from a newer version is created it should open in an older version with limitations but it should be viewable at least.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using NX since version 9 now in the latest iteration there are many changes and the speed of generation and complex surfaces as improved greatly with new features like patch, delete edge combines the number of commands used to make surfaces nad solids are reduced.
the interface has changed soothing colors and the ability to customize is endless, and easy on the eyes, but at start, it has a steep learning curve not that easy to adapt, the search tool has become more convenient and the newer version implementation of virtual reality is impeccable.

Very useful and powerful software for engineers
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful is how integrated the software is from concept design to manufacturing abilities. It saves you a lot of time and efforts. The multiple options it offers to solve a problem and offer solutions is very unique

Nothing in particular, it delivers all that is needed for my current projects and more than I needed.

Concept design and ability to simulate and analysis before building the prototype is very important and makes life easier and more efficient resulting in increased performance.

the tool of finite element analysis, and that the program very very intuitive and easy to understand

when dealing with finite element analysis and simulations the program used to get very slow as well as the computer

I am a bioengineering student. I used NX for a proyect in my biomechanical subject, in which we had to design and test a hip prothesis for a total hip arthroplasty.
