My honest review after exploring and using CAD-CAM over 2.5 years
What do you like best about the product?
- user-friendly. Easy to learn every command
- There are a lot of options to customize commands in every module.
- Strong and stable processing
- Can handle large assemblies very smoothly.
- NX contains many modules that can help users from the ideation phase to manufacturing, providing the same GUI.
- NX also provides offline and online help support for every NX command.
- Cost-effective and has more features than competitor software.
- Siemens continuously works on the development of NX, as they release new patches monthly and new versions every 6–12 months.
- Sketching and modeling are faster because of the shortcuts available for dimensioning and applying constraints.
- In-built machine simulation is available for NX CAM. So that collision can be eliminated in practical operations
- Adoption and implementation of NX CAD/CAM are very easy.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Hard to find assembly file due to same extension as that of child parts
- Accessing libraries is a tedious task for some NX modules.
- Choosing the right modules to meet your requirements could be a difficult process as we cannot add any add-on modules randomly.

The Roburstness of the different applications related to specific design proceses.

localized library of standard parts what we get in other softwares like Indian Standard of structural components and machine parts.

The way we design the products and it allow us to design better and faster.

Good cad software with an easy interface, but far from flawless

Straightforward assembly structure with possibility to edit parts in the context of an assembly

A lot of preprogrammed MCD functions (conveyor, linear actuator, kinematic chain)

What do you dislike about the product?
embarrasing performance of the physics engine (MCD): even small amounts of collision bodies cause the time scale to drop below one. Additionally, the simulation is often unphysical with objects randomly flying away.
the lack of a search function in the keyboard shortcut menu
high price compared to similar software and even then a lot of basic functions are still behind a paywall

We use NX CAD mainly for the MCD functionality to test mechanical concepts and PLC programming

NX CAD best software for modelling
What do you like best about the product?
With NX cad I can edit any model quickly which makes NX cad stand on top position. It gives wider range of capabilities. With the help of this software I can deliver better products faste and more efficiently

Till now I don't face any difficulty so nothing to dislike about NX CAD

It is providing versatile modelling tools and I can access multiple commands. It has good user interface. It has ease of use and modelling can be done with speed.

What do you like best about the product?
It has flexible licensing. Also very easy to modulute parts with very intuitive interface. What I like most in this software is using of multiple commands on modelling. You'll get a nice view of the surface and modelling design.

It consumes a bit of RAM memory. Otherwise if you need to build 3D models then this is right software
