Why NX CAD should get 10 points
What do you like best about the product?
NX CAD is a very powerful CAD Software Application within an even more powerful CAx System, which can be enhanced using the mighty NXOpen API.
What do you dislike about the product?
NX CAD can not natively use Solid Edge files.
NX requires the user to import these CAD files using a dedicated Solid Edge importer, which is included.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX is an indispensable enterprise CAD System, that helps users to solve most of today's highly demanding design tasks, as well as being able to automate simple but tedious design tasks.

Integrating NX CAD with Teamcenter
What do you like best about the product?
The NX tool is well integrated with Siemens Teamcenter. Opening models from Teamcenter is user-friendly. NX interface is clear, and the solutions inside are also user-friendly. NX is very popular in student community, new employees are mainly well prepared to work with NX.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the model is not inside Teamcenter from the beginning, upload of external models is quite hard to understand - to use this tool you need to be skilled PLM and NX user, without good understanding of PLM data management it's almost impossible to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX is our additional CAD tool, it's helping us to stay aligned with our customers, that are using NX as main CAD. Fast working NX is helping us with proper design preparation.

High Quality Design/Drafting Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The workflow and user interface are more capable than other competitors' CAD suites. I was able to make complex assemblies with arrangements and such with ease. Indexing part files and having hundreds of user settings were also very nice. Also since I do a lot of 3D printing, I can control the chordal quality of the STL export which gives really nice curved surfaces once printed.
What do you dislike about the product?
On some aspects of it, there's a steeper learning curve versus other CAD platforms, probably because there's so many options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It made working in an assembly incredible easy. I was able to easily create an interpart relation and model within the context of an assembly with only a few clicks.
Very nice tool, Would not be able to work without it.
What do you like best about the product?
I like th ease of the program. Features are easy to find and it is very intuitive. The program as a whole is complex enough to do technical drawings and such as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the training and help centers were easier to use. It seems like when I am trying to learn something new, it is harder to find good information and examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX CAD is helping me solver issues both in work and personal life. I enjoy being able to do a technical drawing/model, and at the same time make a simple 3D model of something I am making in my free time.
