Integrated features and new capabilities unlike anything in the market

Expressions and WAVE links. Renders large assemblies well

SKETCHER, like everyone else. Just SKETCHER. Please change it back. Need more? Sketcher again.

We can make ALL the shapes. Integrates with SimCenter 3D.

I like the simplicity to tool navigation and easy to find the work benches that you need for the right job.
What do you dislike about the product?
The import of CAD models and aligning them to the right customized objects in Teamcenter could use a little work to help the user identify the subclass of objects on import for each component.

its allowing me to design my products in a seamless fashion, while enabling checking of interfaces.
NX Review
What do you like best about the product?
When you use the suite of Siemens products, for example, Teamcenter, Simcenter, etc., NX operates very well as being an all encompassing tool that can interact with other systems seamlessly. It seems as though NX is trying to be the "one stop shop" for designers, with Active Workspace tightly integrated.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an administrator, NX is a very heavy application which makes you have to fight to get enough storage space on your machine. For example, it takes up almost 40GB on some installs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX is solving many problems, including mechanical design, having a strong constraint engine, and the tight integrations with Active Workspace and the Teamcenter BOM system. This is the biggest problem we have, working with BOM structures with a lot of variability, and NX does provide some tools to solve this problem.

I like the flexibility and the multi body.

Wave Linking can create issues in Teamcenter and no standard or best practice to apply

NX helps our users create designs and modifications quickly.

The speed and ability to handle large scale models allow us to work much faster in cross country routing. Also integrates well with other Siemens products

Once a user is more experienced in the program it opens many doors to more functionality that is not as obvious to a newer user

There is a more steep learning curve than other 3D modeling software

Robust 3D modeling tool, but I have also used NX Pre/Post for FEA extensively. Also I use NXOpen with python to automate modeling and data extraction

What do you like best about the product?
Competitive with Creo and Catia. It can handle all design and modeling aspects and has all necessary tools available to full design capability

Not intuitive to configure and create templates for users.

Ease and speed of design with precision and quality.
