Huge time savings thanks to ConvertAPI
What do you like best about the product?
Implementing the API in our software was straightforward. Setting up the JSON request, calling the API, download the result. That was all to use ConvertAPI to convert files from PDF to JPG.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. Converting from CSV to Excel could be improved by adding extra parameter to allow decimal comma in numeric fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time consuming manual work of converting PDF-files to JPG is automated. For just one project, many working hours are saved.
Simple service that does exactly what is promised every time
What do you like best about the product?
Great documentation on their website makes it easy to get started. The support team has also been super responsive. They have a large number of plan options at decent prices. The service itself works exactly as promised and responds fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike. It would be nice if I could set up custom endpoints on the Convert site that performed multiple conversions with only a single call to the service. I wrote so code that sends a PDF to the Convert API for watermarking and then sends it to ConvertAPI again for converting to jpeg. A custom conversion endpoint that did all of that in a single step would be cool. but it's a "must-have"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Convert print-ready PDF artwork to proof-ready artwork that can be displayed as a jpeg to the customer. We are also using the service to split PDFs.
Easy to use, affordable conversion service
What do you like best about the product?
Simple API and great "duration" payment mechanism, very good & responsive customer support

Ehm... response time could improve but not an issue, really

I'm using this service to convert web to PDF -> providing my customers with great looking PDFs
ConvertAPI Great service to include in your product
What do you like best about the product?
ConvertAPI was super easy to implement allowing my developers to focus on other things core to our product
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the cost of ConvertAPI is attractive, it could always be cheaper. We also burned a lot of conversions time on development and testing so it would be nice to have a free trial/developer license to get started.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Converting ppt and pptx files to pdf so users would not have to have Microsoft Office installed to view files. As well, by converting to pdf we could add some tracking and other tools to the application viewer.
Reliable and easy to use file convert service
What do you like best about the product?
We use ConvertAPI for over a year now, and we are happy with their service. The best part is they are adding more converters over time and increasing performance resulting in bill savings :)

We get many different file formats that need to be converted to PDF, and ConvertAPI supports >95% of our needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy integration to our CRM System. With the free plan, it really gave an idea of what the process looked like before we made the purchase. Very clean dashboard and good support all around.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to complain about at all as everything is very smooth and well-rounded. I've heard no complaints from any colleagues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great product for document conversion. Easy to implement in code. Very self-explanatory. Great for providing our customer's official documents.
Easy API to use
What do you like best about the product?
ConvertAPI has been a reliable service for converting even legacy Word Document files to PDF. ConvertAPI has also been helpful in re-exporting PDF files with unexpected password protection metadata when the document is already accessible. Their integration libraries make development more straightforward too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could improve documentation on error states in their integration libraries. Also, customer support resent links to their existing libraries and Github issues instead of helping debug our particular problem.

What do you like best about the product?
The ConvertAPI service is a company that specializes in helping businesses convert data into various formats, including PDFs which we use. They have access to the latest technology and are experts in the field of data conversion.
One of the main benefits of an API service provider is that they are experts in their field because they have special training for a specific type of task. The ConvertAPI PDF export API is an example of this - they can convert almost any type of file from one format to another. We use the pre-paid plan, which allows you to use credits for using the service at any rate you need and not have to worry about fluctuations in usage. E.g., we are not charged a monthly premium when the service is not used.
The resulting PDF files are accurate to the source, and the API allows an easy connection and retrieval of the file. Support is very often quick to respond in the rare case of an issue.

What do you dislike about the product?
On rare occasions we had problems with getting a response from the service but support was quick to respond and followed up. It would be good to have more options in the statistics and reporting part of the control panel. Given the amount of data collected, there are many opportunities for reports to be generated and analyzed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for converting HTML to PDF files. It has allowed us to focus on the core service of our application and rely on an external partner for the PDF export feature.

Make sure to check up on the documentation as it covers plenty of options available.

What do you like best about the product?
Converting pages into great-looking printable PDFs or converting PDF or MS Office uploads into searchable text was simple. Made more accessible by the great developer-friendly testing tools online.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were too few free credits for testing multiple products (it only starts with 1500).

Searchable uploads and beautiful printable PDFs help me build a great user experience.
Bad Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
Their API converted our PDFs to Powerpoint very accurately except for the fonts, and it was pretty easy to integrate with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support did not respond to multiple reach-outs between May 27 and June 11, and they now appear to have stopped replying to me completely.
The only issue we had with their service was that the fonts embedded in our PDFs were not being used in the converted Powerpoint. I was told that normally you have to pay 300 EUR a month (a much higher plan than we otherwise need) to upload fonts, but that in my case they would add our two fonts on their "next system update" This was on May 27th. I continued to follow-up for the next two weeks asking for updates and got no responses. Finally on June 11, I was just told it would be installed on their "next system update" but that they couldn't give me any ETA. I pressed them on this because we are a software company trying to launch a feature, and needed some idea of the time frame. And so far I've gotten zero responses back from their support team.
Now we are probably going to have to switch to a different service. I would have rather they just told me "no" originally, as we've now wasted time integrating with their service and will have to rip it out and start over.
