Business data integration made easy

  • August 17, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IBM App connect makes the problem of integrating the business data from various branches much more easy.Whenever you have many data sources from various branches and want to use all that data for a single application, you will need a intermediate service to handle everything but why do it yourself when you have ibm app connect with you.It helps you to manage your data sources into one and helps you to create a api for that data which can be shared or used for any application. This is the reason I like it very much.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing to dislike about ibm app connect, instead I am a great lover of this application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ibm app connect specially for handling data for projects when we have more than one data source to handle for e.g. banking application where we have to implement the application on realtime as well as more than one source data,so ibm app connect helps us handle both and access data through api so the client can also be protected for privacy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using ibm app connect for high scale data and realtime data application such as the example I gave before. The cost is also worth the facilities provided by app connect because it helps you handle data from all the possible sources through a secured api and that too realtime which might be very important for certain applications. It is secured and a great service provided by ibm.

A better tool in the market

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about IBM App Connect is its ability to integrate data from cloud and locally stored server.
It helped our organization seamlessly integrate the on-premise services with partner organization.
The development of API proxy is fairly easy
What do you dislike about the product?

The GUI should be improved. It should take a few options from other API management tools in their offering.

I have used Apigee and compared to it the development is more cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had 8 partner applications. We used IBM App Connect exposing business APIs to external consumers and our partner applications in a secure manner. It provides an integrated platform for running, creating and managing APIs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is leading in Gartner's report and from my research it is a balanced tool in the market.

What do you like best about the product?
IBM App connect allows you to share your data with the concerned personnel for application or any other purposes of using more than data sources. It happens many times that you want to share the data that you have with the sister companies or other clients in a secured and limited manner. The problem is that the data is distributed over variety of systems and sharing them all individually is a hectic task.App connect helps you to overcome that and share all the data as a single data source to anyone using api. This are the things that can be done by app connect and so it is the best application.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used app connect for a long time and am a being fan of its services so I have nothing to dislike about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company uses ibm app connect for sharing the internal data of the company to the other sister companies and clients that we have.We also use the same api developed by app connect to share data for individual projects of various teams within the company. This helps us to track the data and also maintain security so we use ibm app connect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using ibm app connect for sharing the data resources from various systems within the organization to other organizations or project managers with much ease and through creating api's.Yes IBM app connect helps you create the integrated data api to share the data as a single data source to anyone which is a innovative idea of ibm app connect.

  • August 15, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IBM App connect serves as the best resource manager for our organization or any particular project.App connect provides smart integration solutions that help you connect and integrate each and every piece of data that you have anywhere. It is so good that the, connected resources appear to be a single data source and the latency for accessing the data is not bad. Also it helps you manage realtime data with no extra cost which is the nice thing about app connect.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have some cost issues with app connect other than that its cool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ibm app connect to integrate the data resources for particular projects because certain projects require the instantiate data behavior of the data resources worldwide, also sometimes we need to handle realtime data from more than one source with very less latency which can be achieved using ibm app connect,so we use ibm app connect at our office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using ibm app connect for integrating and handling realtime as well as historical data from more than one sources. It provides flexible solutions for your organization so that you need not to worry about handling resources. The only con is that it is expensive but it is worth the expense if you want better and swifter solutions. The support of ibm is also good and regular updates are pushed which is really a reason for its recommendation.

What do you like best about the product?
IBM App connect is actually a integration of data service by ibm.It allows you to manage all your data resources and club them into one using many of its integration styles. It is the best app to do all the integrations of your data.It enables us to use the data from various sources as a single source which is the best thing about app connect. If you are using more than one data sources for your application and want a single link to connect them all then ibm app connect is here for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Atleast as of now its fine and has no problems or bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using app connect to unite all the sources of data for a project because sometimes we get project from clients whose data is realtime and is from various sources so to work on all of it we need an intermediate medium to take care of managing it and so does IBM app connect do.It helps us to manage all the sources and gives us the data in single stream.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using IBM app connect if you want to gather data from all the sources or you are working on any such project when you have to handle more than one realtime live stream, app connect helps you do so and also it helps you create api to manage data from single link which is why I think ibm app connect is best. The idea of service is unique and no other similiar service exist as per my knowledge so I recommend using app connect.

Excellent platform for data integration on cloud

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am using IBM App Connect to create large business applications which are depending on multiple application for syncing the data in real time. So, the changes comes up instantly and there is no wait time. Everything is stored in cloud, so there is no chance of any data to be missing at all.
It also provides hundreds of built in templates to integrate or use customized ones present in the user community. It can easily connect with apps like Salesforce & Marketo and supports old SOAs, micro services, and other APIs. It is highly secured and reliable when it comes to integration of various apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall cost of using it is very high and it can only be used in large business projects so that the cost can be adjusted against it. It is not suitable for small or mid size projects.
Apart from that, it completely serves it purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best part about IBM App Connect is that it can integrate data from cloud as well as local server storage. Therefore, all our existing client’s data is easily exported to cloud using IBM App Connect without any execution issues and speed is quite good. The overall infrastructure is completely managed by them and we just need to focus on the “how to execute” part and development process. Complex integrations seem to be very easy after we are using it. Everything gets setup within minutes and third party APIs can be easily used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IBM App Connect is strongly recommended if you are looking for a reliable cloud storage to integrate your client’ data without using much coding and bothering about infrastructure.

IBM Cast Iron Integration with Salesforce

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ability to manage the highly complex integrations where there is quite a bit of data processing involved in the middleware. In these situations IBM Cast Iron scores above the providers such as Informatica.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support from the product team is not so great. It caused quite a few constraints during the PoC phase where we were exploring different options.
The quality of support we received from other middleware products such as Informatica , mulesoft and the level of engagement they had is truly impressive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing in the contractors (ICDRs) time sheets and purchase orders from SAP into Salesforce so that it can be integrated with Financial Force Professional Service Automation to determine the resource availability and utilization. As the data is stored in different boxes in different geographies with different structures, unifying the data and feeding into salesforce was handled by IBM App Connect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With respect to salesforce product roadmap, IBM app connect mayn't be aligned completely. As salesforce continues to acquire ISVs such as mulesoft and others, there could be out of the box connectors available for plug and play. however if the integration required is very complex, IBM App Connect is worthy of consideration

A Perfect and Simple Solution to Integrate Systems

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IBM App Connect is a simple solution to integrate all the data even from complex systems. Its light weight and easy to use platform. Can be deployed in cloud or on premise as we need and they do support from SOA to micro services which makes it widely accepted.
What do you dislike about the product?
the kind of support system they do have is much lesser compared to what their peers provide. very less documented hence we won't get any additional information through other means.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used mainly for exposing our API's to clients and other 3rd party vendors in a very well secured manner and there by helped us a lot in the way of integration to such complex systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can definitely categorize it as an enterprise wide integrator which can be used to transform data and perform batch processing. We can easily build API Proxies , usability and also the kind of security they provide also met the standards and there by can be used for our applications as required is what i think.
A one of a kind system that integrate all your simple to complex system and can be deployed into cloud . An easy to use system as well as the functionalities of system make it more attractive and i should definitely recommend to try it once.
