Intuitive tool

  • October 25, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-Cast Iron is easy to learn, intuitive layout of the product and creating a feed is simple
-Handles large amounts of data easily (at least with on-premise)
What do you dislike about the product?
-Wish there were more user level to help with SOX concerns
-wish that with our physical appliances, we could load balance across several appliances so that we can mange from one WMC
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Cast Iron to do the following:
-Integrate our product databases with Salesforce
-Send and receive files with external stakeholders via FTP
-Generate reports for internal stakeholders
-Connect with various other cloud based vendors
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I believe they are reducing support and/or eliminating the ability to have on-premise appliances in favor of using cloud based versions. We have benefited from on-premise, especially in that it handles large amounts of data better.
IBM also doesn't seem to be investing in additional features, endpoints, etc especially when compared to competitors

The Quickest and most Economical Integration Product so far

  • May 06, 2014
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the Web Management Console feature. It helps us maintain the Integrations, view logs, set up user accounts. Also, the Studio is very user friendlly, it helps build comples logic with just drag and drop of activities
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the orchestration status get "stuck" while starting/stopping orchestrations. The status button gets greyed out and the only way out is to restart the WMC or choose the "Stop All Jobs in Progress" command.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are Integrating People Soft with Oracle On Demand by pulling in Accounts information. We also have a very robust Data Wareshouse into which the data from Oracle On Demand is pulled and stored. We use this data warehouse to further build important reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Cast Iron works very well with real time and small data volume integrations.
