Exploring Rancher Desktop's User Friendly Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Rancher desktop has been instrumental in our organization's transition from Docker desktop to a containerd-based solution. Its streamlined UI and faster pod provisioning have enhanced our Kubernetes deployment experience. Plus, the ability to easily monitor code across environments and configure microservices makes it a solid choice for on-premises setups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Until now, I haven't found any problems with Rancher. The only thing that could be better is how long it takes for the whole page to refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rancher makes it simple to manage and create everything you need in one spot. If something's missing, you can easily add it. Whether you're figuring out problems with APIs or fixing them by restarting.
Rancher- Best tool for kubernetes management
What do you like best about the product?
It has helped to manage multiple kubernetes clusters across environments. With fatest way of managing, it has reduced our time to scale, deploy applications in cluster. it is good option to consider as open source tool having easy installation. Good GUI provided in addition to features and using it everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes slow to load data on GUI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checking all namespaces and applications at one place. Developers getting good view of environment with less knowledge on kubernetes because if user-friendly interface.

Observability can be improved by allowing custom metrics to monitor kubernetes cluster

Loved Rancher for the Security- First Container
What do you like best about the product?
I was stunned to use rancher in my workplace through which we can implement security container strategy very easily in just click of a button. Very easy to use and Comfortable UI whivh is very helpful for me in my beginning stage of this application. Best Feature i loved is the live logs and REST APIs which we can consume to use rancher with integration of our services.Its Multilingual Support was very helpful in our Workplace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rancher can increase the time limit for the logging out of the app it is a bit annoying,they can also introduce k8s solutions which is missing in the rancher. Sometime i face reload issue reloads take a lot of time to load the application and also Multi- tenancy Feature is a must which must be improved a bit. Backing Up can be confusing on the Rancher sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving my problems in security managed container which was a big task for me through there dashboard i can easily manage all containers efficiently and can manage them with just few commands

What do you like best about the product?
Good UI with detailed attention to every kubernetes manifest feature in the UI, ability to import multiple types of cluster be it k3s, AKS , EKS etc. central management of cluster with inbuilt fleet for GitOps and even integration of Elemental OS, Longhorn, partner helm chart and Harvestor
What do you dislike about the product?
fleet that comes inbuilt into it is not as mature as ArgoCD

central management platform for all the upstream cloud k8s cluster plus downstrean remote edge k3s cluster all managed by Rancher smoothly along with good debugging capabilities
Top notch experience for orchestration.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing would be how easy it is to use it even in the web browser and simply to follow UI
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime, I've felt issues while doing copy paste of the content in the browser. Had to reload page.

We used this to see the logs of the apps deployed in our pre prod servers.
Best tool to manage containers
What do you like best about the product?
the UI is top notch, much better that portainer and other solutions in my opinion

missing features related to provisioning GKE clusters
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is simply making it very easy for me to manage visually all the containers and orchestration.
Good for getting a basic K8s dashboard, but it's way too buggy
What do you like best about the product?
It is installed easily via command line or the official helm chart, you can see in the UI the pods, deployments, node metrics, etc. It is a nice way for developers to have a quick view about what is deployed to the cluster.
What do you dislike about the product?
It proposes an imperative way of deploying applications using the Rancher customized helm charts. Some apps work with that way of deploying, others do not. Also, the official Rancher helm chart is always 2 major versions behind Kubernetes and if you want to uninstall it from your cluster, it always leaves unused resources and the unused namespaces cannot be deleted.

Get a UI for a quick overview of the currently deployed objects in your Kubernetes cluster.
Loved Rancher at my workplace
What do you like best about the product?
We often used Docker earlier but when it was no more open source we want some good reliable alternative, we found rancher the best fit, we can have customizable installation process, it really helped us to run the same docker command, which I loved the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel when rancher desktop run for couple of hour it really took really good amount of ram which cause some slowness. So we can optimize the memory.

It helped us to manage the image efficiently.
Easy to manage and deploy the api
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy and understandable UI even for the beginner

Time it takes for refesh the whole page and load apis
