Great Data that enables security response
What do you like best about the product?
I like the data that spycloud provides. They have the best data in the industry, allowing for the fastest response time. I really appreciate the work the spycloud team does to search the dark web and engage us, above and beyond just sharing data, when something is critical.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't dislike anything from SpyCloud. They are continuously helping and supporting our mission to protect our customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to get more proactive in account compromises allowing us to reset passwords in scenerios proactively. We really appreciate being able to protect our customers before an account compromise allows a customer account lead to lose.
Excellent Product Offering
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of product usage and fairly extensible platform. Implementation within our organization and operational use has been a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limited real-world implementations of the API to get ideas of methodology to implement in an enterprise setting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are dealing with the challenge of supporting several external partners in a capacity that is beneficial to our internal operations and external operations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Providing documentation and embedded Spycloud integration within organizations to identify methods that can benefit from automated procedures despite technical limitations within an enterprise setting.
Unmatched Account Protection
What do you like best about the product?
SpyCloud has access to data that no other vendor has due to their HUMINT operations. This allows us visibility into potential account takeover situations for our employees before they are able to happen. Aside from this, SpyCloud has excellent customer service and support, and responds quickly and efficiently to any requests or issues we might have.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the cost. With an organization as large as ours, deploying to all domains has been cost-prohibitive. I will say, however, that sales has done as much as they can to work with us and continues to do so as we work on our coverage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SpyCloud products have helped us keep our employees secure by quickly alerting us to improper password resets using previous exposed or weak credentials. We have also been able to fine tune our standards and help guide our Identity team in selecting controls to help prevent issues in the future.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have your Identity team involved from the beginning - through the PoV, implementation, and administration. SpyCloud tools can help them make informed decisions regarding policy and controls.
Great service, but does require some manual weeding at first.
What do you like best about the product?
This service scours a ton of sources and lets us know when credentials are breached. We can therefore potentially head off an inevitable compromise before it even happens.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of the results are older, even years. When my organization resets passwords every 180 days, I'm not actually all that concerned about 3-year-old compromised creds. So some manual verification/weeding is necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pre-emptive measures can be taken. Combine this with AD Guardian, and I can potentially get rid of all poorly-chosen passwords to begin with.
