EdgeScan Review --- John Robustelli

  • August 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Edgescan is the combination of ease of use, real-time visibility, and the strong support from the team. The platform makes it simple to stay on top of vulnerabilities, and the responsiveness and expertise of the Edgescan team really stand out. It feels like a true partnership.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much to dislike, overall, the platform is very reliable. The team is always responsive to feedback, which is greatly appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Edgescan is helping us identify and manage vulnerabilities across our environment in a consistent and scalable way. It bridges the gap between external and internal scanning while giving us continuous visibility into our risk posture. This has improved our remediation efforts, reduced manual effort, and helped us stay compliant with internal policies and industry standards.

User Friendly interaction for the majority of the features

  • August 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The friendly interface that you can navigate the platform with ease and access any of the assets.
The notification system for any blocked assets or newly uploaded vulnerabilities.
The different style of reports are very good as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say that I dislike any of the features that the platform has to offer.
The one thing that I had issues in the past when I started using Edgescan was the Filtering system, the way you could customise the filter to your specific needs. I don't have any problems with it at this stage but this was a big hurdle at the start.

A separated section could be created for Penetration Tests, to be a designated section separated from the Ongoing Scanning results / process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of the company's assets and providing a structure to vulnerabilities and overall continuous security assessment.

Edgescan makes it easy to manage and validate vulnerabilities without the noise

  • August 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The retest feature is super handy—just click a button after a fix and they handle the rest. I also like that their team validates findings, so we’re not wasting too much time on false positives.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is strong overall, raising support tickets through a separate support center can feel a bit disconnected. It would be much more convenient if we could initiate support requests or ask questions directly within the Edgescan portal (live.edgescan.com)—like a built-in chat or "request support" button. Also, the reporting functionality could use more flexibility for non-technical stakeholders, and at times, the UI can lag slightly when handling large datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Edgescan helps us stay on top of security across our module applications by continuously scanning and validating vulnerabilities. It solves the problem of false positives and alert fatigue thanks to its manual validation. It also helps us prioritize and track issues easily, saving time for both developers and security teams.

Edgescan has been key in our start to manage vulnerabilities

  • August 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- No impact detected on any assets following the scans.
- Vulnerabilities are human-reviewed and only true positives are shown.
- Easy integration with ServiceNow.
- Good documentation.
- There are no problems with the tool; the scans just work, so you don't need to worry about reconfiguring and fixing things.
- Customer support is very good and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The UI is not as much intuitive as other tools.
- Sometimes it's difficult to find the setting you want to change. A global searchbar would be useful.
- Dashboards could be more advanced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scan the network for vulnerabilities and prioritize those that need to be fixed. Then, open automatic tickets in ServiceNow and ensure that closed tickets have been correctly remediated.

A game-changer in Vulnerability Management

  • August 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Edgescan is the seamless combination of automation, usability, and human expertise they bring to our security program. The automated monthly vulnerability scans give us continuous visibility into risks across our applications and infrastructure without manual effort — it’s reliable, consistent, and low-maintenance.

We also value the annual penetration tests, which are easy to schedule and coordinate with their team. The process is smooth, and the insights we receive are clear, actionable, and tailored to our environment.

Another big plus is how user-friendly the platform is. The interface is intuitive, making it easy for both technical and non-technical users to navigate, review findings, and generate reports. Speaking of which, the reporting capabilities are strong, and we’re able to easily provide professional, detailed security reports to our own customers — which adds real value on our end.

Lastly, Edgescan’s customer support is outstanding. The team is incredibly responsive — often getting back to us within the same day of the ticket being logged— and they’re always willing to clarify findings or offer guidance. That level of support makes a huge difference and reinforces the feeling that we’re working with a true partner in security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some results require manual validation on our end to assess business impact, but that’s more about our internal process than a limitation of Edgescan itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Edgescan helps us with automated vulnerability management and penetration testing, which significantly streamlines our security operations. Their platform ensures that we’re consistently monitoring for risks across our environment without heavy manual effort.

This not only helps us stay compliant with our customers and prospects, but also plays a key role in supporting our ISO audits and ongoing certification requirements. Having both continuous scanning and annual pen tests in one platform gives us confidence in our security posture and makes it easier to meet regulatory and contractual obligations.

Great coverage back up by solid support

  • August 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The monthly penetration tests and scans by Edgescan in combination with their reputation not just provide us with confidence, but more importantly, our customers. The portal allows easy tracking of vulnerabilities and contains all information needed to address them.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the dashboard, the general statistics 'risk over time' and 'mean time to remediate' do not sync up. The first shows the past year, the latter lets data points from 5 or 6 years ago influence averages shown for the same period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure that our customer's data is safe and making sure these customers understand that this is the case.
