Powerful Security Scanning Made Easy with Acunetix
What do you like best about the product?
Acunetix is a powerful tool for security scanning and it's ease of use and setup. I frequently use this because this helps identify vulnerabilities like SQL injection, along with its ease of implementation and integration with CI/CD and it easily integrated with the web application in hand. The customer support is great and provides answers to queries quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could improve in few areas like setting up demos on how some complex configurations work and what are the use cases it solves. It can also resource intensive for large applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acunetix makes web application security testing much easier by automating most of the work. It quickly finds serious issues like SQL injection, XSS, weak authentication, and configuration problem things that would take a lot of time and effort to catch manually. What I really appreciate is that everything is handled in one place: the scans, the results, and the steps to fix the vulnerabilities. It saves a lot of time and eliminates the need to juggle multiple tools.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Acunetix by Invicti is that, despite its powerful capabilities, it can sometimes feel resource-intensive and time-consuming, especially during deep scans of large or complex web applications. The scans can slow down systems or take longer than expected, which might interrupt normal workflows. Additionally, while the tool provides a lot of valuable data, the volume of findings can be overwhelming, and filtering out false positives requires manual effort and experience. The pricing can also be on the higher side for smaller organizations or startups, which limits accessibility. Lastly, although it integrates well with other tools, setting up and fine-tuning these integrations for the first time can take some technical know-how and patience.

It is a security assessment tool to perform Vulnerability assessment on web applications. It will give details information of each vulnerability of web application with remediation.

It is easy to use; it will help to find security vulnerabilities in web applications, and it also provides report standard wise like SANS,OWASP etc

We can find all web application vulnerabilities by a standard; we can get reports like OWASP Top 10, SANS 25 and more. It will provide detailed remediation for each exposure. Easy to configure and perform Vulnerability Assesments.

Acunetix is a very easy-to-use vulnerability analysis tool. Accunetix can detect most of the vulnerabilities. Best tools for automation testing.

Accunitix saves lots of time for a pentester. It automatically detects vulnerabilities. You just need to verify a false positive.

I started with finding remote code execution where sometime before i have used vulnerability scanner but they give false positives and now after this usage everything drawn apart where i find the reports very crucial and persistent in terms of clear indication

What do you dislike about the product?
So far it's working and persistent reports don't give me false positives and I find myself very much stuck to its best and most accurate solutions.
Some areas like LFI and reconnaissance may require more inceptions.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Threat management nowadays getting difficult to envelope but this given a clear and persistent reports where it helped to plan enterprise costing of administration and security solutions.

The license policies are not flexible. It should be made flexible for customers

It is reducing our time of manual scanning the application for vulnerabilities. Its also reducing our time by giving less false positive issues.

What do you like best about the product?
With Acunetix OVS we can scan our product for vurneabilities with every release. It's easy to setup the scan and to generate report for developers, where they find out all found vurneabilities with clear description and test case. Also you can run the test and you will have report within few hours, so you can iterate quickly and recheck security again after developers fix the issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the scan take's too long, so we run it usualy overnight. It's also better for our infrastructure, so it's not stress tested during working hours, so in the end of the day it's really not a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Acunetix to periodically scan our product. There is always new features added so we want to be sure, that added features is scanned before public release. The main benefit for us is that we have security scan done within few hours and we will get Developers report, which is very useful. There is also setting where you can generate report's in other format, such as OWASP, which is useful for our security team and business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For us the Acunetix OVS is easiest solution for vulnerability scan of web application we develop. The reports are very clear and easy to understand even for junior developers or non tech business users.

While using Acunetix Vulnerability Scanner I couldn't found any disadvantages. For our functioning SOC we see only advantages from Acunetix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acunetix finds vulnerabilities which our IT department fix it. Another benefit is that Acunetix produces a variety of reports which are suitable for our customers.
