Best dev tool - Must Try
What do you like best about the product?
We were solely relying on gut instinct until we discovered Hivel's dashboards, data, and insights. We had no idea what we didn't know, and the efficiency report they presented had all of those aha moments. Some measures are new to us, yet they are useful. We now have a greater understanding of what is going on in our teams, what is holding us back, and what we can do better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Engineering metrics for efficiency are very new, and it may take some time to learn how to utilize or implement them. Hivel has done an excellent job of providing those metrics in an understandable manner, and their support team is available on Slack for speedier replies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hivel has offered previously unavailable visibility into total engineering org productivity and efficiency. It has also aided in the standardization of processes across different teams. As the firm is still in its early stages, having this platform in place allows our management to make data-driven choices.

I appreciate Hivel's cockpit that provides a clear dashboard of essential metrics and goals for executive oversight. The detailed activity tracking for teams and individual engineers, which is updated weekly and monthly, is also quite impressive. The intuitive UI and the straightforward setup process make for an effortless user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit overwhelming to navigate the wealth of data available on Hivel at first, and while the monthly customized insight reports are helpful, more frequent updates could further enhance decision-making.

Hivel effectively turns raw data from development tools into meaningful productivity insights, eliminating manual tracking. It offers AI-driven performance insights that promote the transformation of engineering teams by focusing on outcome-driven metrics. What do you like best about the product?
Hivel provides many insights about DORA metrics which are helpful in tracking engineering efficiency and productivity and the new Dev360 feature is really useful for tracking all things in a single place. because of this, we have improved our code review system which integrates our SCM and hivel which has helped in tracking data end-to-end. they are just away for any support needed

No dislikes in the tool as of now. has been working well

Hivel provides a dashboard that provides extensive details on a number of commits, PRs and reports that are provided are really helpful

Hivel was an essential part of our tech stack. Our engineering team relied heavily on its accurate weekly insights to track progress, see workload distribution among the team, and assess overall performance. We also reviewed our entire engineering activity—manitenance, rework, new work, unreviewed PRs, etc—in neatly visualized dashboard.
All the data from Hivel also supported our decision-making process to prioritize tasks and map out our weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans.

What do you dislike about the product?
We didn't find any issues throughout our time using Hivel. I also want to mention how their customer success team is always available to offer help.

Hivel played a crucial role in enhancing collaboration in our engineering team. It gave us deeper visibility into our team's progress and organized the way we planned projects. The biggest outcome was a notable increase in our engineering pace and the way we handled new requests.

What do you like best about the product?
Hivel helps you keep tabs on the pulse of your engineering resources. You can quickly find out the gems and reward them to keep a healthy practice going in your business. It used to be a tiring process earlier.

QA engineers are also part of the engineering team. It will help if they can figure out a way to track their productivity as well.

We never had gret visibility into our team. We assumed every one was doing their jobs. With Hivel, we can figure out who are the over achievers and reward them easily. The transparent process makes it an easier discussion with our team on performance.

What do you like best about the product?
Hivel is hands down one of the best platforms that has come to the rescue to manage the engineering tasks, managing and bringing the productivity. It saves a lot of time that helps in bringing the productivity insights from the dev tools. It is user friendly as it is easy to use. Hivel makes almost all the engineer tasks much easier.

UX can be better. but overall its a great experience

What do you like best about the product?
Hivel has definitely changed the lives of our engineering team. We have integrated it with GitHub and Jira, and it has been very smooth so far. Their monthly insight reports are one of our frequently used features, which has helped us make a lot of data-driven decisions. The customer support is also really helpful and active.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although we are very satisfied with the product, a bit of functionality for individual developers can be improved.

Hivel is solving our big-time data integration headaches of correlating data from our daily tools in one place. Second, their customized monthly insights reports are amazing for performance analysis. They also provide real-time metrics that have improved our daily standup calls.

I like its engineering dashboard, it is very easy for me to conduct the daily standup meeting. It pulls the data from various dev tools and prepares dashboards that are easy to understand and keep track of the development process.

Hivel is an engineering dashboard, We have a marketing and sales dashboard created to keep track of those sales metrics. Hivel has helped us to prepare an engineering dashboard, No we can have a bird view of our development process.
Hivel to review Engineering Productivity and Insights of Quality
What do you like best about the product?
Hivel is a good tool for measuring Engineering productivity data for your teams. As the team size grows in organizations it becomes challenging to understand how many developers do not have a coding task or how is quality of coding done and how frequently do we have emergency releases. Hivel has a clean mechanism to address all these challenges that any Engineering team has when they are in high growth mode. They care for the clients and try to add value to the client goals. Given there are not many leaders in this category Hivel has a good potential to gwo big in this space.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hivel needs better fault tolerance model to identify gaps in the data capture. They should find the issues through internal engineering methods rathern than client reporting them. Some of the features can be improved understanding the business use case of the clients which could be different for every business stream.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping me understand developer productivity for a month/quarterly view and also provides deep insights on the quality.
