Multiple Site Crawling & Error Detection with Botify
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Botify is able to crawl and analyze so many dimensions of multiple websites without any manual work. We can customize the crawls and the crawl frequency as well as modifying the reporting dashboards as needed. The API connector into Google Sheets has been invaluable for us in automating some reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see better alerts capability and even more dimensions of analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to automate the reporting of errors across multiple websites at scale programmatically with Botify and its API. We are able to see what is broken on our website, specifically related to SEO efforts, so that we can fix errors faster. I can run customized crawls pre and post migrations, and can even crawl our staging server to find errors before sites ever go live. This has been huge in improving the quality of our SEO, with so many dimensions of analysis in one place.

Botify features and functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to drill down to a URL/keyword level to understand how crawl budget impacts traffic and revenue directly. Also, a global overview of compliant vs notn complaint URLs in the dashboard view.
What do you dislike about the product?
While filtering down is an awesome feature, ability to use and know all the glossary terms to activate the filter is limited to a newer user who hasn't been in the tool for a long time - therefore requiring SEO specialist from Botify to review correct filtering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Technical SEO problems - resulting in improving site quality which directly impact traffic and rankings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
alignment with IT and Analytics team to ensure data is integrated properly.
Detailed SEO Tool With Great Features
What do you like best about the product?
Botify has a huge range of reports and ways to split your data. Some of my favourite features are the ability to create bespoke URL segments, the HTML stored from every page crawled (excellent if looking to check exactly when code was changed), the ability to compare crawl changes over time at an extremely granular level and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool can be quite pricey especially if you are looking to start using some of the more in-depth features (log analyser, keywords) or look into crawling Javascript.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Extremely useful when releases go live to check URLs are performing as expected. If things have not gone to plan it becomes very quickly apparent within the various reports that the tool provides.
Best crawler and log analyzer
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful in Botify is segmentation. It allows me to have a complete view of my websites' structure and of how search engine bots have access to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd say that the set-up is not easy at the beginning, but the Botify team is very helpful.

Crawling issues, problems appearing after a deploy, managing website migration, day to day analyze of the GoogleBot crawl thanks to log files...

the combined vision of the crawl and Bot's real activity (logs analysis)

the charts deserve to be updated for a better representation of the segments in particular

Botify helps us for all SEO issues: redesign, identification of unexploited potential, depth, internal popularity, identification of bugs and malfunctions quickly and automatically, Gap between Desk and Mobile, segments of the site to prioritize according to their ROI,. ..

For a better use of the tool, get help from the Customer success manager at Botify who will explain the philosophy behind for a quick start
Botify is an Amazing Website Crawler and Log Analyzer
What do you like best about the product?
They do a great job of identifying issues with your website no matter how large it is. They also added a great integration with Google Search Console. I love that it's in the cloud so you don't have to download any software in order to use it. It's truly a powerful and I believe the best website crawler out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting can be improved with more functionality and giving users the ability to drag and drop anything from the platform into a report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Botify improves your search engine rankings and helps with user experience on your website. They do a crawl of every page on your website and match it with what Google has crawled to improve indexation, while being able to prune bad pages from your website and helps create an XML sitemap among other benefits.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend going with Botify over the other website crawlers because of the amazing job that they do.
