Best Speaking Practice App Ever!
What do you like best about the product?
ELSA is a pre-requisite for any students taking English lessons with me. What I love the most about it is the possibility of immediate feedback when trying to get the pronunciation of a word right. While trying to learn a foreign language, there is an abyss between what we think we said and what sound actually came out of our mouths. With ELSA, students can get an idea of how off or not they are.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that ELSA doesn't take native English accents into account. I've had native-speaker friends use it and still get marked on vowels or endings because the app doesn't recognize those variations in pronunciation as acceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ELSA points out exactly what I need to work on when speaking a word or a full sentence. It points out whether I have a vowel problem, or an inflection, or an intonation problem. It is very thorough.
