An outsider's point of view
What do you like best about the product?
Bizzdesign is the only real product in this space that still has an on-premises version. Our company is really not too excited about our business processes being stored in the public cloud since we (rightly or wrongly) believe they are a competitve advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really no falir to the output. I realize that the flat, 2-dimensional motif is all the rage today, but it makes things so dead looking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had initially stated down a path of using CEB to attempt to accomplish what we are now beginning to implement in Bizzdesign. Gartner bought and terminated CEB, so we had to look for a new on-premises tool to allow us to map out infrastructure dependencies. You typically don't think of whether your software applications will run on your current, aging hardware, or whether your update of infrastructure will break your software stack. for us this came to a head with old versions of Oracle and Solaris (SPARC). Integration with Technopedia has been a game changer for the Infrastructure end of an EA. Of course, our BA's also have the responsibility of documenting how our business processes overlay our enterprise architectures (so we finally know what's keeping the ship afloat).

Excellent tool for modelling and architecture analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of sharing diagrams and data is very good. It is also relatively easy to extend to encompass additional data. It is very easy to use for anyone and the easy availability of support from within the portal is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes keeping track of what content is relevant or up to date can be harder than perhaps it should be. It's easy to generate lots of new views and lose track of them if you don't use favourites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Horizzon helps with sharing architectural information outside of the team and in allowing interaction with diagrams and data beyond just being a drawing. The ability to run colour-casts or filters can really help people to focus on specific information and for views to be reused.

What do you like best about the product?
Dashboarding and their unique n-dimensional insights across disparate data sources and silos in your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complexity with modeling tool while you start building the Enterprise Architecture dashboards for C-Level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It will help us to standardize the architecture models and create some insights to share with our C-levels and providing governance to the ever-changing Information Technology and follow ETF
Bizzdesign - A business-strategy focussed EA modelling tool
What do you like best about the product?
A good EA tool \ user interface that facilitates the creation of current and target architecture models using Archimate notation; Promotes the use of common catalogues and taxonomies. Helps visualise and share content using the Horizzon SaaS portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not easy to exchange data (integrate) from other systems into Bizzdesign. Some of the data exchange functionality isn't flexible enough to quickly get the value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bizzdesign tooling helps us to maintain a shared architecture repository with common catalogues and taxonomies. It is helping us identify problem areas and describe architecture to our stakeholders.

Great product, easy to undetand and to model your architecture.

Not having a big knowledge base of best practices

Bizzdesign is managing a centralized repository of our enterprise models in a way that is easy to use
Collaborative Enterprise Architecture
What do you like best about the product?
The Horizon product makes it easier to share and engage various stakeholders
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside is that it still needs a lot more development one feature that would be nice is around ideation. These are features that are on the road map.

Currently its providing a view of out solution landscape the key applications and their state.

What do you like best about the product?
Bizzdesign Horizzon provides the ability to customize the solution in multiple ways to meet our organization's specific use cases. Unlike many other solutions that paint you into a corner with hardline features, Bizzdesign Horizzon and Enterprise Studio allow us to script enhancements to out-of-the-box features that meet our needs. Every organization is different, and having a solution like Bizzdesign Horizzon allows us to maintain our strategic approach.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Bizzdesign Horizzon could improve is around the consumable side of the solution. In particular, allowing greater visibility to Horizzon for the organization (as consumers). While it is a great feature to be able to embed views from Horizzon into other platforms such as SharePoint, it is far easier, in my opinion, to present views and dashboards from Horizon directly, but current consumer role licensing for Horizzon can and often is a limiting factor for organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed an APM solution that allows for integrating data with ServiceNow, Bizzdesign's APM + solution is the perfect solution for us. We are also using Bizzdesign to establish architectural modeling standards that are used in conjunction with our IT Intake process to ensure Architectural groups are involved early on in demand processing.
A great tool in experienced hands
What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot you can do with this tool, including cross model relations between different modelling notations - this means you really can build a holistic view of how things are done from Architecture to business process to system to customer journeys.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very complex to use and hard to teach new users - you really want to put this tool in the hands of someone with industry experience as they would pick it up reasonably quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my team, we are the Process Library custodians, so we are building a complete catalogue of business processes and dashboards to deliver process intelligence. We are looking to link that to Architecture to help with critical business decisions and changes.
Bizzdesign Horizzon Review after 2 years of experience on the platform
What do you like best about the product?
Once you've setup the navigation views in the model you have so much flexibility in the user experience for your customers. Having OpenSearch dashboards built in and accessible also make it easy to use architecture and dashboard views together in 1 platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things that can be improved in Horizzon, are a larger view area with scrollbars vs. dragging and moving around the larger views, a larger view area, and a way to view the model structure in Horizzon so enterprise studio and Horizzon don't feel so different. Small additions that can also help is the ability to provide more functionality to make updates for relationships and models from the Horizzon side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bizzdesign is providing a standard and consistent set of coaches and views for our solution architecture and technical roadmap practices. This process has provided 10-15% increase in speed during the architectural diagram development process. A large benefit is the ability for label and color views for overlaying data onto the diagrams. Also, havng the ability to optimize certain views using the dashboard improves the experience tremendously.
Business process designing tool, with a lot of room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to design business process diagrams. The feature of being able to neatly arrange new entity in overall design is nice and helpful. Feature for being able to get specifc application business flows and interface diagram is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The drawing board features are good indeed. However that's where the functionality pretty much ends. There aren't a lot of reports extractable. Governance on change monitoring is also limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Bizzdesign Horizon to maintain companies overall IT architecture. Diagrams from Bizzdesign were inputs for High level design documents and for maintaining information on all the integrations.
