Bizzdesign Horizzon Review after 2 years of experience on the platform
What do you like best about the product?
Once you've setup the navigation views in the model you have so much flexibility in the user experience for your customers. Having OpenSearch dashboards built in and accessible also make it easy to use architecture and dashboard views together in 1 platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things that can be improved in Horizzon, are a larger view area with scrollbars vs. dragging and moving around the larger views, a larger view area, and a way to view the model structure in Horizzon so enterprise studio and Horizzon don't feel so different. Small additions that can also help is the ability to provide more functionality to make updates for relationships and models from the Horizzon side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bizzdesign is providing a standard and consistent set of coaches and views for our solution architecture and technical roadmap practices. This process has provided 10-15% increase in speed during the architectural diagram development process. A large benefit is the ability for label and color views for overlaying data onto the diagrams. Also, havng the ability to optimize certain views using the dashboard improves the experience tremendously.

Business process designing tool, with a lot of room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to design business process diagrams. The feature of being able to neatly arrange new entity in overall design is nice and helpful. Feature for being able to get specifc application business flows and interface diagram is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The drawing board features are good indeed. However that's where the functionality pretty much ends. There aren't a lot of reports extractable. Governance on change monitoring is also limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Bizzdesign Horizon to maintain companies overall IT architecture. Diagrams from Bizzdesign were inputs for High level design documents and for maintaining information on all the integrations.

What do you like best about the product?
Alfabet cloud allows for a quick seamless way to move configuration changes within different environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the full functionality isn’t always obvious as the on premise version in expand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making configuration changes is sometimes challenging via the Cloud Expand as compare to on premise

What do you like best about the product?
The possibilities for this tool to structur the company capabilities, infrastructure and roadmaps are endless, IT Architects can gather all the informations of the company, servers and devices(mostly hardware), softwares and systems, and also data objects, useful when you have a data architect using the tool. You can integrate ES with any Framework, such as TOGAF or ITIL.
What do you dislike about the product?
Enterprise Studio feels a little bit confusing when you start exploring the tool features, the screen has a lot of information, and not so much guidance... The web is definitely not a place where you can find easy information or workarounds/fixes about the tool or its challenges, so you must rely solely on documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise Architects can communicate clearly with Solution and Data Architects, see their work, and at the same time Solution architects can view an updated version of the enterprise roadmap, giving some real time feedback. It's hard to a team of 30 or maybe 40 architects to keep visions and data aligned, and Enterprise Studio does the job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Your team must learn a design language called archimate before going to ES, there are a few books and courses about it, and depending on who is selling the product, they are included in the contract, as your team certainly will need training.

Very user friendly and easy to learn. Would recommend 10/10
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the program would freeze up but usually resolved itself relatively fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has helped immensely with our organization procedures as well as assisting with training new hires.

What do you like best about the product?
Software AG is a one a stop shop and they have products across the digital stack and ALFABET is their IT portfolio and enterprise architecture management solution. They are the leaders in both IT portfolio management and Enterprise architecture management in the Gartner quadrant
What do you dislike about the product?
Software AG products are very costly and ALFABET is no exception. All client discussions comes to a pause or stand still during the pricing discussions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application portfolio rationalization, IT Planning - Target state architecture and see compliance of each application to target state, Project and portfolio governance, Business-IT synchronization,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Alfabet is definitely the way to go if you are looking for a single stop shop for your digital transformation.
