What do you like best about the product?
Great UI, easy to search, powerful advanced queries.
Recently added AI function helps save time researching.
The browser extension is awesome and I use it everyday together with our other cybersecurity tools. easy to integrate,
The Sandbox Analysis is included in the offer and works great to detonate malware, analyze suspicious URLs, allows to interact with the session and provides excellent detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool has a learning curve and requires some initial setup and fine tuning, but account management team provided great help.
Cost is high and you have to buy modules and seats and the APIs are also expensive, though the value is substantial.
Leaked Credentials alerts generate a lot of false positives.
The recent acquisition by MasterCard may be a concern for some.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides high quality feed of IOCs with Risk Score and we use the API to integrate this with our other Cybersecurity tools
Lets us search the Dark Web and I was able to create alerts for leaked credentials, which helps us quickly identify users at risk and take actions to reset account passwords, delete unused accounts, revoke MFA sessions, etc.
A great help to do proactive threat research and also automate some of our processes
Dealing with RF tech support and the account managers truly feels like a partnership
The Brand module helps us discover typosquat domains, code leaks, discussions of our brand on dark web markets, and immediately initiate takedowns directly within Recorded Future
The included Sandbox service is a great help to our SOC when investigating cyber incidents, and the sandbox is of a very good quality

Recorded Future: A top source of Intelligence

  • September 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Recorded Future is one of the best tools of its type: Intelligence Gathering and Curating. The features provided by Recorded Future like The Sandbox, The query builder, the modules, the collective-intelligence connectors, etc are beneficial. I like the Threat Intelligence module and the queries and dashboards you can create and share with others. The different views are very useful for analysis. Researching data on Recorded Future is not difficult after going through the initial learning curve. I learned about many malware, exploits, PoCs, threat actors, artifacts, IOCs, etc. This tool along with the XDR and Phishing Prevention tools from other vendors makes threat research very effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is a bit steep and the fact they hold information and turn into modules is disappointing.
If you want to search for some company/entity you can find quite some info. The moment you start searching on your partners and third-party vendors, sometimes information is under the Third-Party Modules. This is very disappointing and it only causes concern about what other current modules' information will be split and extended into paid add-ons in the future. The identity module is good too but is a one-trick pony. The whole interface is pointless. All you need is an API for this type of integration instead of a whole module that does only one thing. The data ingestion for that module is very inaccurate and not the fastest. Credential dumps are urgent. and need more care.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recorded Future is helping us research threats, threat actors, IOCs, and create alerts on different artficats. It is helping finding useful breach information on our users' corporate email usage on external websites.
It helps us in finding typosquats of tools we use and also our organization. The reputation cards are useful too. The sandbox is very useful. It is helping in investigating phishing links and malware files.

Incredible TIP. Attentive team behind it.

  • September 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Platform is easy to manage and learn after minor use. I love the simplicity of implementing watch lists and alert tuning; not to mention advanced queries and searches which are fairly simple to use. Setting up and integrating with other popular tools is also easy to get up and running. The only thing that's better than the platform itself is the support and dedicated account managers. Every call is super useful and insightful, and they're always available to help, which is a huge plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing model can be difficult to work around with as the organization grows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a centralized platform that has all the necessary modules to maximize a robust threat intelligence program.
