Recorded Future: A top source of Intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
Recorded Future is one of the best tools of its type: Intelligence Gathering and Curating. The features provided by Recorded Future like The Sandbox, The query builder, the modules, the collective-intelligence connectors, etc are beneficial. I like the Threat Intelligence module and the queries and dashboards you can create and share with others. The different views are very useful for analysis. Researching data on Recorded Future is not difficult after going through the initial learning curve. I learned about many malware, exploits, PoCs, threat actors, artifacts, IOCs, etc. This tool along with the XDR and Phishing Prevention tools from other vendors makes threat research very effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is a bit steep and the fact they hold information and turn into modules is disappointing.
If you want to search for some company/entity you can find quite some info. The moment you start searching on your partners and third-party vendors, sometimes information is under the Third-Party Modules. This is very disappointing and it only causes concern about what other current modules' information will be split and extended into paid add-ons in the future. The identity module is good too but is a one-trick pony. The whole interface is pointless. All you need is an API for this type of integration instead of a whole module that does only one thing. The data ingestion for that module is very inaccurate and not the fastest. Credential dumps are urgent. and need more care.

Building Threat Intelligence Workflows with Recorded Future
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Recorded Future is a complete package. Do you need a Sandbox to detonate malware sample and URLs? RF has it. Do you need to be up-to-date on the latest developments in Information Security? RF is doing that for us well. Do you need to build a threat intelligence process around triaging relevant events to your organization? We are doing that with the Alerts and Playbook alerts features in RF. I also love how you can specify what is relevant for you using the "Watchlist" feature - and you can go even one step further - Automate the updates of the Watchlists programatically so you triage events which are only relevant to your organization.
All this would've been difficult to build if it wasn't for the lightning fast support that they provide.

What do you dislike about the product?
All of these great features come with a cost, you have to pay a hefty amount for each API integration, so the licensing model is rather expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RF supports us during multiple stages of the Threat Intelligence lifecycle - namely the Collection part, Processing and facilitating Analysis. It's the cornerstone through which our team ingests data/information/intelligence.
More specifically, the business cases that RF helped us solve is: Brand/Logo abuse detection, Dark Web monitoring, Sandboxing in a safe enviornment isolated from our network. It is alerting us on breaches/ransomware events from our Suppliers helping us manage third-party risk.
