Review of outsystems as a business analist
What do you like best about the product?
I like most that it is so easy to set up and directly visual
What do you dislike about the product?
No automatic testing, NO BRANCHING, sometimes (almost) unexplainable performance problems, no options for continuous scrolling
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CMR AND workflow system intergrating with loads of services. Centralization of information, making enormous improvement in processes, sparing a lot of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get skilled people for the "not easy" systems. Otherwise use it for easy workflow applications
It's a good platform to quickly build an application, can use some improvements

It's really nice that you can really quickly put a new application together.

Automated testing and branching still needs improvement. Especially branching because of continuous delivery

We developed several applications. For instance we have build the company's helpdesk

Lack of branching
Deployment process: when somethings doesn't pass UAT it's sometimes hard to fix since you already did new development on the dev environment.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which Outsystems was able to connect with our ERP application was splendid. This was the first time integration was the least worrisome thing during development
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if we had some sample apps available that would have guided us in the development process. The solution development lifecycle needs to be more structured

We are filling in gaps in our existing business processes using self developed apps and user interface forms. This is much more easier to use for end users and hence increases the adaptability for us.

The Outsystems provides a fast and better solution in short time. To create a new table or database is very simple, no needs writer query, the interface is very interactive and simple.

What do you like best about the product?
The OutSystems' team is truly cares about our success and has gone out of their way to assist us where they can. They have been critical to our success so far. Also impressed with the roadmap; great vision.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial impressions of developers is that it was harder to learn than they though it would be; it is good to see some of the q1 2020 enhancements will make adoption easier.

A lot of mobility applications with field workers.
