Big fan

What do you like best about the product?
I find editing sites using Webflow very intuitive and I love the degree of control I have. I used Wordpress in the past and I found it clunky and slow in comparison.

I do have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and a little JS (which I've never needed) which I think helps -- not for writing raw code, but for understanding all the options.

The University is a helpful resource -- the lessons are excellent, and I usually find answers when I need them.

Backups are super intuitive and automatic. Automatic code compression. Lot of other features like optimizing for SEO etc...

All around I am super happy with Webflow. I built and run two sites for businesses I own on it - one is a brand with basic ecomm and one is a simple website for an importing company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems like Webflow has fewer plugins than Wordpress, so this requires a little bit of extra work, but hasn't been a problem for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Code-free web development of course. Also granular control of design. Huge time savings and way better outcomes (at least in my case) vs doing it from scratch and a way more intuitive and functional tool than Wordpress in my view.

What do you like best about the product?
Webflow is very powerful and easy to use. I love all tools that allow me to create beautiful and functional websites. I am a designer with no code experience, but Webflow made it possible to create incredible websites easily and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. everything about Webflow is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now I can create websites that my customers can easily manage. Webflow CMS is very powerful, easy to use, and completely customizable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Webflow for those of you who don`t know how to code but would love to build a beautiful and powerful website.

Amazing product! Needs work on certain features like the CMS editor

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility and design capabilities. It's absolutely amazing what you can do with Webflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The CMS editor is awful. It is super buggy and has a bunch of problems. It's not flexible. For example, there aren't any anchor/jump links. Additionally, if you try to paste from Google Docs, it causes a bunch of problems. I have had problems with it saving properly or even not allowing me to upload pictures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built our website using Webflow. We can build exactly what we design in Figma/Sketch. As a company that helps graphic designers learn UX, it's incredibly important for us to prove that we know what we're talking about. Having a beautiful, usable website is part of that proof.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1. Please fix the CMS editor.
2. Fix bugginess in animations.
3. Add SEO help and recommendations. This mildly exists, but it could be so much better.
4. Next-gen image support (webp, etc)
5. Consider adding the ability to create and track funnel metrics.

Best No-Code web development platform

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Open tutorials, big community and ease of use of the platform.
Developing a website feels snappy, even with animations and transitions. Problems/bugs are quickly addressed by the technical team and I've never had a complain from any client using the editor to modify images/text once the web development is completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pop-Ups (for seasonal offers...) are difficult to personalise based on CRM Data, but possible with few tricks.

Personal areas have to be externalised as for now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my opinion, the best platform for developing web pages for external clients. Years using it and never had a problem, a complain. Pages load fast, are easy to build with some technical knowledge and easy to share with clients and teach them how to edit and make minor visual changes to show seasonal offers, campaigns,...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get started with open tutorials and join Facebook & LinkedIn groups. They're a great source of ideas and exchange of technical tricks.

Jumpstarted my design career

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
From the tutorials to the helpful Webflow community, there is never a shortage of new things to learn about Webflow. As someone without a formal tech or design background, I was able to use Webflow's resources to build the website of my dreams. I'm constantly iterating and finding new ways to use the platform. It seems like the possibilities are endless!
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I am not an expert web developer, it would be nice to have more collaborative features or places to leave notes/comments for future iterations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to present my brand in a way that is simple, elegant and effective. One main benefit I've noticed since using Webflow is understanding how it builds off of HTML/CSS framework, which helps me better understand how websites work.

Webflow is a wonderful tool to work with - but lacks in proper localization support

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For me as an experienced fullstack engineer - mainly working with React currently - i was quite skeptical to using a no-code solution from previous experiences - but decided to give webflow a shot to increase the rate at which we (a tech start up with global presence, but limited resources) can make changes to our marketing website, which is mostly simple text/images/buttons anyway. Webflow seemed to tick the boxes i was looking for and we have now transitioned our whole marketing website to run completely on Webflow. The transition was quick and quite effortless and i'm really impressed by how much Webflow gets right so far!

What i like the best:

- That it saves me time - E.g. just that everything is editable by content editors out of the box, as opposed to having to link each text field or image to a CMS system saves time. New pages and sections with some basic content/images/buttons are added within seconds/minutes.
- That the visual editing tools are easy to work with.
- That it doesn't try to hide what HTML and CSS actually is, and thus doesn't limit me as a web developer to actually use my knowledge to create the experiences I want to create, as opposed to the competitors that tries to hard in their quest to make it easy, and in doing so makes the tool too inflexible.
- Adding interactions and animations is trivial and straight forward to do
- How easy it is to work with Lottie animations
- That it's possible to create reusable components.
- The built in CMS is extremely easy to work with, creating templates is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Biggest issue: There's no way to localize a page without resorting to a third-party plugin (which then comes with additional costs and LIMITED number of languages and only supports localization by subdomains). Sadly, for us as a global enterprise, this means that there is a limit on how much we can scale with Webflow currently, (which is a pity, we really like Webflow otherwise).
- Even though we're on a team plan - only a single developer can implement design changes in a project at a time. Even though the recent update improved this a lot by allowing multiple users to be in the designer at the same time - it's still restrictive since only one user is allowed to make design changes at a time. Even though I understand that it's techincally challenging to solve this - it is something that restricts us in how much we can scale with Webflow currently.
- Lack of CSS Combinator support (ie. :last-child etc.) - As a web developer this is something i just really miss in Webflow (without having to resort to adding custom code - which is obviously a fragile solutions - and hence not scalable). Seeing as it's a fundamental building block of CSS, and given the efforts that Webflow already has done in not hiding the true power that comes with pure HTML and CSS, this feels like a no brainer to add.
- There's no concept of a "global css class" that you can combine with other global classes (ie. without making it into a combo class that inherently isn't global). As it is now, creating a design system that scales is challenging. It would be really nice to be able to work with global css classes similarly to how Tailwind works with them.
- Given that Webflow still lacks in some CSS aspects - i dislike that it's not easier to add 'custom' css to an element in a simple editor directly in the designer, similar to how you would add 'custom' code. You can of course add an Embed element each time adjacent to the element you want to target - but it's fragile and cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Webflow allows us to make updates to our marketing website much more rapidly.

Webflow is great! It’s an opportunity for anyone to learn and become a web designer creator

  • August 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the efficiency in builds. The div block structure and method. The image resizing and optimization. The no-code structure is great and helps me understand code even more. I love Webflow for its University teaching abilities. They d a great job at that. I would have been so stuck were or not for Webflow. It changed my life. Gave me a future that was very hard otherwise. I had 2 tea lakes before Webflow. Working 12 Hours a day for others and grinding it out wa not healthy for me. Thanks Webflow!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't like he payment amount sometimes. For myself as well as for clients. It's a hard sell sometimes. I don't like the eye accessibility tool as it is incorrect a lot. It tells me teo of the same colour are green coded and the contrasting colours are a negative score. Tedious at times. I wish more custom code implementation would be in Webflow university 2.0. And the use of WebGL and other cool code languages could be implemented. I really don't like that Webflow gets glitchy many days as of late. The designer gets slow.nesting items or elements into parent elements gets super choppy and slow. I think fox this issue. We all build this way. There should be a more clear way or smoother way to drag an element or component in the navigator and it not be so choppy. Super annoying. Also Webflow keeps logging me out when I'm incognito mode. Super hard to experience as I lose my last few minutes of work. But as always I love Webflow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am building websites for clients who haven't had good websites. I optimize websites. Make them more goal and result oriented. I can create custom designed websites.
