Udacity is the best E-learning platform

  • April 07, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Udacity's courses are really interesting and informative. The instructors' voices in the courses are also very clear. If someone wants to learn about technology or some tool then Udacity is the best E-learning Platform
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Udacity charges very high for their courses and especially for their nanodegree courses. There are many other E-learning platforms that charge less for teaching the same concept.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I take coding and data science courses on Udacity. Their courses are really nice and super informative. I think Udacity is one of the best E-learning platform available today.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Udacity always provides informative and practical content in its courses. Also, Video lectures run very smoothly without any lag or technical issue. Udacity is a great E-learning platform.

Virtual Reality Nanodegree

  • November 29, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- You can start learning even if you don't have experience in the field.
- At the end of the program you have a solid foundation to create a basic immersive experience.
- Projects were very interesting, and they give you examples from where you can continue building.
- Even though VR is a relatively new field, Udacity has high quality courses with good content.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Some of the material was a bit outdated so updates were highlighted on text notes. But it's somewhat difficult to follow something and then go back to see what you have missed because things have changed.
-The courses might be priced a bit too high specially if your country's currency isn't very strong.
-Some of the projects took more time than I expected, because there was a lot of troubleshooting related to some of the code being outdated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Udacity has given me a lot of focus and confidence in my technical skills. If you are somewhat lost on your career path Udacity has the tools that will help you gain a clearer path.

I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.

Udacity Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree

  • September 01, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- I liked that Udacity covers a wide range of topics in the self-driving car technologies such as computer vision, deep learning, localization & path planning. The content was quite broad, but would still go to some depth in each of the topics. This helped me develop an interest in autonomous driving, and eventually led me to start a career in this space.

- The production quality of the contents (animations, diagrams, etc) was quite high. Most of the content was presented and taught very well.

- The projects were very interesting, and helped reinforce the concepts learned. They require a good breadth of technical skills - Python, OpenCV, Tensorflow/Keras, C++, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The price is too high.

- The deadline for the program is quite strict (even with the 1 month extension). For a program which mostly has pre-recorded content, the deadline should be a lot more flexible.

- Some of the content was taught by engineers who clearly know their stuff, but seemed to be reading off a script.

- Job support. There is a generic career portal where there are sections for resume building, interview preparation, etc. But there's nothing specific for a nano degree (such as self-driving cars for instance). Also, the job catalog was quite limited. Very few hiring partners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to learn the technologies which are used in self-driving cars. In my opinion, the program does a good job of introducing these technologies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Study the syllabus first. This program requires a lot of commitment (around 8-10 hours weekly), so ensure that you're really interested in the program, and that you'll be able to complete by the deadline.

What do you like best about the product?
I completed the AI nanodegree program. What I liked the most was learning AI directly from Peter Norvig, the author of maybe the most important reference book on AI.

DISCLAIMER: I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to get a manual that summarizes the content of the program at the end of the course, so that I could use it in the future as a go-to reference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I got a deep understanding of Deep Learning, a cutting-edge technology that I immediately applied to my projects.

Computer Vision Nanodegree review

  • August 09, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Udacity gave me unremarkable learning environment and set of educational videos. In my opinion the best thing in Nanodegrees is the structure of the course. It is easy to loose yourself among the abundance of online materials but with Nanodegree's structure you just need to follow the path (and keep up with deadlines).
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the thing I did not like the most was project review section. I've expected more detailed and comprehensive reviews. Sometimes, I had a feeling that my mentor only took a glance at my project and wrote a few sentences. Nevertheless, there were reviews for which I am grateful till today because they have shaped my future career.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly, Udacity solves 1 but crucial problem concerning online learning. That is to many materials and lack of structure. Udacity filters out/creates teh best content for you and then structure it like it's hot :)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In my opionion, very important thing to notice is that Nanodegrees differ from each other in quality. I mean that there are very good Nanodegreees (like mine, Computer Vision) and very moderate. It is important to conduct little investigation first.

Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program Review

  • August 06, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Digital Marketing course is project and skill-based. It's very practical.
- The course is well structured. It taught me the foundation of digital marketing. Its projects let me use the knowledge I learned and led me to do in-depth research.
- I really like it's flexible schedule and bite-size lessons. That allows me to fit it in my everyday schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
I got a lot of good advice on my LinkedIn Profile and Resume from Udacity. However, as a person in the business field, I feel I can't get any more support beyond that. Cause Udacity's career support is mainly in the tech field. I wish Udacity will have more courses combining business and tech. I want to pursue my career as a product manager in the consumer goods field. I wish Udacity have courses covering product development and management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program has provided me with an overview of today's business landscape. Let me have a clearer thought of my career path. Udacity's career advice on my LinkedIn Profile and Resume have made me more confident.
