What do you like best about the product?
It is data management solution for collecting, storing and analyzing enterprise data with a single unified platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Starting with the negatives or downs, Watson is : It is available only in English (Limits areas of use) It Seems as disruptive technology similar to that of AI tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
watsonx. data could allow us to easily access and analyze our expansive, distributed data and maximize our resource utilization to deliver superior user experiences. IBM watsonx. data and AWS are enhancing cloud-based analytics and AI, enabling organizations to accelerate their data modernization strategies.
It helps enterprises automate the business workflows, streamlining IT process and internal business processes, protecting them against threats and vulnerabilities, and tackling the sustainability goals. It also includes a data store, built on lakehouse architecture, and an AI governance toolkit.
IBM Watson performs analytics on vast repositories of data that it processes to answer human-posed questions, often in a fraction of a second.

What do you like best about the product?
Using natural language to get insights into my data saves me a lot of time on unseen data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Instead of accessing vector databases from my IBM warehouse for my RAG application, I would rather prefer using Python/js libraries to vectorize my data in the developing process (especially for a lightweight application) thus eliminating a couple of extra steps and saves time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost cutting is the most over-looked feature for my company and integration with AWS pipelines is cherry on top.
We've gone to zero to production in 3 months. Top notch support from different departments.

What do you like best about the product?
It is really easy to use and supports a wide range of data formats, including vectorized, columnar-based, and more. Additionally, DataStax is very robust, and its support team is extremely responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is user-friendly, mastering and optimizing all the features offered by the database can present a steep learning curve initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Indexing SharePoint documents to build a generative AI chatbot that can search and generate content based on the knowledge base stored in SharePoint.

Cassandra legacy. There is generic industry persception that cassandra is complex.

The generative AI enabled conversational features helps to get the complex insights very simply, and its easy to integrate with databases.

Costing is bit on the higher side which can be reduced or can be provided more trails so that user can atleast get comfortable with the tool in the trail period only.

It helped in Data warehouseing while a very big chunk of file which we generated organisational wide that gets stored and manage very efficiency .

Nothing much - CQL for Cassandra is perhaps a disadvantage

Cassandra is challenging to manage at a large scale in production. DataStax enables enterprise class capabilities at the click of a button. It minimises compliance risk arising from hacky custom scripting, and allows your teams to focus on developing more where it matters.
