User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I liked that my students have the ability to review answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product was very good. I did not have any dislikes.

Increased understanding of the subject by seeing explanations of wrong answers
Great LMS for meeting your basic needs
What do you like best about the product?
Matrix is easy to use and easy to learn. I like that they are continuously adding features. Many features I wish they had two years ago they now have.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is missing some advanced features such as if, then rules for assigning learning. To automate assignments, I have to enter the needed information into the learner's profile when I create the learner account. If someone doesn't enter the information in the field when setting up the profile, we can't go back and enter the information and have the rule run to create the assignment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have one place to store all learning documents and resources. Previously these job aids, tools, and resources were stored on a Google drive which was hard to organize and maintain. I love the Matrix Groups. They have help with role-specific information sharing and collaboration.
Full-featured course delivery LMS
What do you like best about the product?
Matrix is extremely flexible, to create courses from scratch for any and all delivery methods. We use it both for on-demand courses with a series of videos, to a repository of information about at topic. We have nano topics and deep dive courses, some self-paced and others taught over zoom. Matrix is great for automating our enrollment and delivery.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest complaint is that we don't use it to delivery traditional courses - all our learners are self-paced and make their own choices along the way. As a result we're less interested in activity INSIDE a course than we are about all activity across the website for the day, and we can't seem to find that information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Matrix like other people might use Thinkific or Udemy. But all those websites do is give you a list of videos to watch. Matrix allows us to treat our trainings like actual classes, with quizzes, certificates of completion, and Q&A forums.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of being able to add courses at any time with whatever specifications we need. We offer many job readiness courses in different industries. The flexibility to offer exactly what our students need is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I like the reporting system. I wish it were easier to create your own reports that would pull from specifics fields. We are a non-profit that needs to account for many things to continue to receive funding. Being able to customize reports would be very beneficial for our monthly data reporting. There are also discrepancies in the reporting dates, which can cause confusion when trying to enter date-specific data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we are solving is offering courses virtually to our students that are beneficial to their academic and career needs. The benefits include greater accountability and options for the students. We are also able to better track our students' progression and attendance.
Good platform for teaching

It is not always clear to students how to successfully submit assignments
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as a teaching platform through Barbri for a skills based class. The biggest benefit is that students can complete and submit assignments online rather than turning them in on paper.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very easy to use. Everything is clearly explained and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all assessments provide the cut and paste and spell check feature.

Providing a platform to allow students to work independently and progress at their own pace.
This was a very good provide for a novice like me.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved the problem of providing training in person with an online course during the pandemic. We continue to use this MATRIX LMS for our online training today.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend using MATRIX LMS, especially for those who are new to producing online training for their new hires.
Everything I wanted & more
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many options for course components - it makes it easy to deploy something that looks thoughtful and professional while giving options for upgrades in the future. In the past, course deployment could be delayed for too long & sometime abandoned altogether. But with Matrix, I can get something out there and then really up the wow factor when the course development catches up. Plus, I can get a sense early on as to whether the course layout and structure is working before devoting time and expense to more complicated components.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of customizations that don't add value for me. There are too many settings and checkboxes that clutter the interface when I'm trying to get a course set up. I've got it figured out now, but there were too many instances when I had to contact support for something that should've been more intuitive. Course publishing is one - If I publish to the catalog, I have to remember to remove the "contact me" checkbox. That's not spelled out anywhere. There are other instances that are the same, and it's made more difficult because I can't open the help guide in another window and follow along while trying to perform the action.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The flexibility of the course creation allowed me to rapidly deploy resources that supported software implementations. It wasn't perfect - this isn't a database, after all - but it provided a platform that let me create job aids for users in different countries, with undefined roles, in a way that let them access what they needed when they needed. It was efficient, effective, and made me look good to my boss.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It might take a little longer to get used to than some other LMS options, but the available features make it worth it. This is a powerful site that makes your company look like they're on the cutting edge of online learning & the available features give you endless options to develop and deploy a stellar learning experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Course catalog, organizations/custom portals, gradebook.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI could use some work, customer service can be very frustrating (jumping to conclusions/solutions before understanding the problem), limited customization in course creation, slam dunk suggestions/update requests are ignored.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to build out the course catalog in advance is helping us appeal to training Managers who want to enroll their own students and have a master view of upcoming courses. Manager access in Organizations has been good as well.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to understand. Matrix LMS is super user friendly. It helps me develop my autonomous learning by providing me with the necessary tools to complete my trainings and tasks. Easy and convenient way of increasing my business opportunities, also the pricing is really affordable and totally worth paying! I love it!

There is nothing that I dislike about MATRIX LMS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With MATRIX LMS, I have been able to complete personal business training and provide training to my co-workers now that we are working from home, having all information gathered in the same area with easy access to it. Miscommunication problems have been solved, since the platform allows me to post news and training information as well as solve questions my co-workers and I may have.
