Application Development Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems has a lot of what they call "accelerators" which are automatically generated when you are developing your applications,which is an excellent feature as it greatly reduces the development time needed to finish your application, be it a web based application or a mobile application.
Outsystems also has a great way of integrating plugins into your applications as it provides thousands of API's or plugins available at the forge for referencing to the applications that you will be developing.
There is also a great online community in which you can post questions or search for questions that may already have an answer.
The outsystems support team is also great in responding to any issues or concerns you may have even for trial/personal accounts which are provided for free.

What do you dislike about the product?
Since Outsystems sends that application that you are using to the server for compiling to native code, i fear that i would not be able to work as efficiently as i wanted to, especially in the event of a network downtime, where it could mean that i would need to wait for the network to come back online before i can potentially resume working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
as a developer we are always looking at new technologies that we can leverage in realizing the client requirements with high quality and in a timely manner, outsystems has helped us realize this by providing a low code platform that is easy to learn and use
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Outsystems is a great platform to use, although an initial time investment is required to be able to fully utilize its capabilities.

What do you like best about the product?
Creating websites with the software is really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the elements in the UI lack names or labels so that I could understand it asap, also I think there I'll be needing some "Getting used to" with the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed on creating Website and Mobile apps is incredible giving developers more time to improve their work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As a beginner in web development, I would recommend this to those who are going to purue web development. Beginner Friendly.
It is a good experience with outsystems, I can create simple webapplication with in the short time.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a low code platform. with out the database (sql) knowledge can create the tables and relations and can create the applications with in the short period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont think, but we can not change the font color, size etc easily (my feeling) for widget.[ I am thinking to do this we need to check CSS code.]
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved many business problems like business data is saving and retrieving easily using scaffolding directly drag and drop the attributes.

Wait time to publish as concurrent publishing is not possible.

Developing the software in less time with max ROI

It's a great RAD tool with very good return on investment
No excuses, you can be as good as you want to be
What do you like best about the product?
Everything but particularly the possibility to extend the platform, its maturity (community, documentation, tool) as well as their continuous evolution. The growing community provides all the support to face the most uncanny situations / requirements. The documentation of the website has been improving consistently providing all the tools that together with the hands-on experience can make you the ultimate solution delivery manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
The idea that anybody can do it without governance. With OutSystems you can deliver very fast, which is positive if you're producing good code but negative if you produce bad code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been working with OutSystems ever since I started my career and have delivered solutions for various sectors such as banking, health care, human resource or utilities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be humble to be able to learn from others and study documentation, be ambitious because you really can do almost everything with this tool, be creative because the platform gives you endless possibilities and be positive because you have a whole community to support you.

Low-Code allow us to deliver our applications faster and we also start using Agile Methodologies (SCRUM).
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when we are trying to put an application with a lot dependencies in production we need to refresh all of those dependencies. This processes should be faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Digital transformation of some of our internal processes.

Easy to learn, the go live is really quick and is ideal to implement digital transformation through any organization.

The form that the server use SOAP to communicate with extensions.

The most problem that I solved was the time expend to develop. With this gain, we work in others deliveries to do better things.

Outsystems is the present and future of development, and is all about you to decide of living in a stone age or do the better things with much less time and the better quality.

What do you like best about the product?
With no previous background or experience in software development, I started working with OutSystems about 7 months ago. It amazes me how easy to learn OutSystems is and - moreover - how intuitive OutSystems is in its use. There's no need to know any code (though it is usefull) to build usefull applications with OutSystems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I dislike about OutSystems is in fact one of its benefits. There's so much inside OutSystems; so many features, so many options... it would take me a lot of time to get everything out of OutSystems that's in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because we use OutSystems to build our software application, we can deliver new features every few weeks. Instead of working for months on end programming new software, OutSystems does the hard (coding) work for us and even someone like me can build and develop like I've been doing that for years.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
OutSystems is an amazing platform to use combined with an agile way of working. Delivering value every few weeks with its intuitive ease of use. Next to that it's quite easy to learn, so when you don't have the money to hire experts, training some in-house colleagues is a great way to use it.

What do you like best about the product?
Fast development and fast learning. No background experience need to learn how to develop in outsystems. It´s a good platform, overall speaking

Publishing time, it takes too long to publish a solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were and still are able to scan all the business processes into our platform and made our users life easier
