  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the batch automation has helped us eliminate any errors caused in manual processing. Also it has sped up our nightly batch processing reducing our down time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Calendars if I had to mention 1 thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above it is reducing errors that we see from manual intervention.

Proactive Monitoring and Insightful Dependency Views Elevate Control-M

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Control-M gives early visibility into what is running, what is delayed, and what might fail next. Instead of waiting for user complaints, we can proactively watch critical background jobs and data movements. The dependency view is especially helpful because it shows how one delay can affect multiple systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform needs ongoing attention. If alerts and views are not tuned properly, they can become noisy. Some routine admin tasks also take more steps than expected, so experience matters to use it efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control-M helps us prevent outages caused by missed or delayed jobs. It reduces manual checking, shortens response time during incidents, and gives the operations team confidence that critical processes are under control.

Effortless Workflow Automation with Powerful Control

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Control-M is how it simplifies complex workflows through reliable and powerful automation. It provides clear visibility, strong control, and helps save time while keeping operations running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect I find challenging about Control-M is its complexity, which can make the learning curve quite steep. Additionally, the user interface isn't as intuitive as it could be, especially for those who are new to the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control-M addresses the difficulties of handling complex job scheduling and workflow automation across multiple systems. Ensuring that processes run as scheduled reduces the need for manual intervention, enhances reliability, and provides greater visibility into potential issues. This ultimately saves time and helps minimise operational risks.

Seamless Integration of Legacy and Modern Automation

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Control-M fits into environments where both legacy systems and modern tools exist. It helps coordinate background jobs that still matter to the business while allowing automation to be triggered through APIs. This makes it easier to keep deployments stable and avoid breaking downstream processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s not a lightweight tool. Some configurations feel more operations-focused than DevOps-focused, and setting things up the “right way” takes planning. Without clear ownership, workflows can grow faster than documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control-M helps prevent silent failures in automated processes. It gives visibility into scheduled work that CI/CD tools alone don’t cover. This reduces production surprises, improves coordination between teams, and keeps releases from impacting critical background jobs.

Streamlined Job Management with Control-M

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Control-M is a key orchestrator that handles the complex job dependencies, with quite a lot of options and endless combinations. It's amazing how it integrates with any application in the market today. I also find that using the SaaS version of Control-M is pretty straightforward, and the migration was quite easy compared to my previous experience with an on-prem solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The application integrated part can depend on the use cases and may create some issues. Setting up the control and sub support takes a good amount of time before it's properly end to end. On the SaaS version side, there are a lot of voices against the pricing model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Control-M, I have a single view for all our jobs, including SAP and file transfer jobs. It lets me see the complete end-to-end flow in one place.

Effortless Job Scheduling and Seamless Integration

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Control-M makes complex job scheduling simple. I love it's intuitive interface, strong automation capabilities, and the way it integrates seamlessly with multiple platforms. It saves time and reduces manual effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and configuration process can be somewhat complicated for new users. Additionally, the licensing costs are significantly higher compared to other tools. What I find most frustrating is the column width and sizing in the self-service section. While many features have been carried over from CCM to the web version, the configuration windows remain quite small, making them difficult and frustrating to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool enables us to automate and coordinate complex workflows across different platforms, which minimizes manual effort and enhances reliability. In my experience working with a banking client, there are many situations where the standard job types are insufficient, and that's when the application integrator proves invaluable. Its user interface is excellent and very straightforward to use.

Insightful System Monitoring Made Easy with Control-M

  • December 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Control-M helps me understand how different systems depend on each other. I can see when jobs start, finish, or wait for inputs from other applications. This makes it easier to analyze system behavior and explain delays or failures to both technical and nontechnical teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool has many options, which can feel overwhelming at first. Finding specific jobs or flows takes time if the environment is not well organized. Some views could be simpler for analysis work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control-M helps reduce confusion between systems by clearly showing job order, timing, and impact. It removes guesswork, improves coordination between teams, and helps keep system processes running in a stable and predictable way.

Empowers Workflow Automation with Code Driven Precision

  • December 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Control-M lets me define workflows in code and run them from CI/CD, so automations are testable and versioned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup for the API, agents, and integrations needs planning, and the environment can get messy without naming and folder rules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It replaces scattered scripts with a single, auditable orchestration layer and also handles secure file moves (MFT) tied to those workflows. That cuts errors and speeds recovery.
