Uncomplicated collaboration, continuous availability of a dedicated DPO. Pragmatic and customer company-adapted working methods. Very good value for money.

The platform makes the most sense when all functions are used. If, for example, due to equally suitable own solutions, this is not necessary, one does not benefit equally from the platform in all system areas (although this is ultimately a "fault" on the customer's side).

What do you like best about the product?

For us, Kertos is not just a compliance tool, but a real sparring partner: the privacy expert works through complex issues with us instead of just handing over templates. So we have a dedicated, personally reachable point of contact who understands our business model and are not dealing with an anonymous support queue. The experts have extremely fast response times, too. Even urgent requests get solid, reliable answers when it matters most.

I like the fact that Kertos advises us during the concept phase of new features (“privacy by design”), not just when problems arise.

What do you dislike about the product?

The initial platform setup requires some manual effort, and some platform features are still evolving. But the team actively relays our feedback into product development.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an AI startup, data protection is a dealbreaker in enterprise sales, not a nice-to-have. Kertos provides the DPO, DPIA, TIAs, and the complete contractual framework that demanding enterprise customers require.

As a result, sales processes can be entered with confidence, actively demonstrating the privacy posture. For us, compliance has turned from a risk into a selling point.

What do you like best about the product?

The platform is intuitive and takes a lot of work off our hands through automation, especially in recording the systems used. This is significantly better than maintaining everything in Excel or in databases without automation. The support from the data protection officer is practical and shows a true understanding of our business.

What do you dislike about the product?

No negative points so far. The UI had a few small errors here and there, but these have since been fixed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a provider of a GDPR-relevant outreach tool, we know ourselves how important clean data protection documentation is. Kertos supports us in the data protection-compliant design of our tool. Data protection is not an accessory for us, but part of our own product promise – with Kertos, this can also be represented internally just as professionally.

What do you like best about the product?

Consolidating the entire data protection and compliance lifecycle into a single software platform provides Kickscale with maximum transparency and audit-readiness. Kertos enables seamless mapping, governance, and traceability of all accountable processes across a central interface.

Kertos integrates into Kickscale’s existing system landscape via secure interfaces, enabling continuous monitoring of technical and organizational measures as well as (partially) automated tracking of system changes, access rights, and authorizations.

Furthermore Kertos staff are very knowledgable and supportive.

What do you dislike about the product?

The software is still evolving and has improved in many areas since we started using it (1.5 years ago). However, there are still some areas with further development potential. For example, the Trust Center functionality was added recently, but it is not yet at the level we would need.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Kertos and its experts help us cover the full range and lifecycle of GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance. It has been substantial support in achieving ISO 27001 certification and, currently, in preparing for the Surveillance Audit. In addition, we are evaluating whether to pursue ISO 42001 certification as well, which will also be supported by the Kertos tool.

As a fast-growing tele-ophthalmology company dedicated to accessible and high-quality eye care, we value compliance efficiency and clarity. Kertos stands out for its intuitive, all in one compliance platform that centralizes and simplifies ISMS implementation - no more juggling Excel sheets or JIRA boards. Its automation capabilities (especially around ISO 27001 and GDPR documentation) have been invaluable, with up to 60 % of certification workflows handled automatically.
We also deeply appreciate the strong expert support: German-speaking and structured, with clear guidance milestones and regular check ins - that has helped keep our ISO journey on track. On top of that, Kertos’ integrated AI based guide (KAI) demystifies compliance complexities and accelerates our audit readiness.

What do you dislike about the product?

While Kertos has been transformative, one minor limitation is that some integrations require initial configuration effort. Especially when aligning with niche or heavily customized internal systems. That said, once set up, the no code interface makes ongoing management very smooth.

Kertos solves the traditional headaches of building and managing an ISMS - manual tasks, fragmented documentation, unclear paths to certification, and reliance on disparate tools - by offering a unified, automated, and visually guided workflow.

Kertos makes building an Information Security Management System incredibly smooth and intuitive. The platform gives us structure, guidance, and smart automation — we always know what to do next. The modular setup, templates, and integrations make complex ISO requirements simple to implement. The support team is knowledgeable and always available when we need them.

There’s little to dislike. Some parts of the platform still evolve quickly, so occasional updates require a short learning curve — but the improvements always add real value.

Before Kertos, setting up our ISMS felt overwhelming. With the platform, we’ve made massive progress in a very short time and are now close to our ISO 27001 certification. Kertos helps us centralize all documentation, assign responsibilities, and keep track of compliance tasks — saving countless hours and ensuring we stay audit-ready at all times.

What particularly impressed me was the warm and structured onboarding. From the first conversation, it was noticeable that at Kertos, team spirit, openness, and a genuine "we'll get through this together" mentality are lived. Our IT manager was also enthusiastic from the first contact – the customer support was consistently professional, fast, and at the same time pleasantly personal on a direct "you" level.

Furthermore, Kertos impresses with a modern compliance solution that enables easy implementation of standards like ISO 27001. The user-friendliness of the board is particularly noteworthy: it is clearly structured, intuitive to use, and facilitates the structured planning and processing of open tasks.

Another plus point is the large number of functions and the simplicity of integrating various tools and platforms. This allows Kertos to be flexibly integrated into existing systems. The frequency of use in everyday work also shows how well the tool is received – it is used regularly and with noticeable added value for the entire team. The implementation after onboarding also sounded very simple.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some functions could be designed to be a bit more intuitive, and occasionally the implementation of small adjustments takes a bit longer. An even easier handling would also be desirable when integrating new tools – overall, however, these are only minor points in an otherwise very positive overall impression.

A central business problem was to clearly structure our compliance requirements – especially with regard to ISO 27001 – and to transparently track the progress of open tasks. Kertos helped us to clearly map these processes, assign responsibilities, and efficiently handle to-dos. Through the central platform, we save time, avoid duplicate work, and always keep an overview of the current status. This way, we benefit from significantly higher transparency and a structured, comprehensible implementation of our compliance goals.

Furthermore, Kertos scores with a modern compliance solution that allows standards like ISO 27001 to be implemented in a structured and efficient manner. The board looks very user-friendly and it's easy to work through the individual open to-dos, which makes it easy to plan and implement open tasks in a structured way. I was also positively impressed by the number of tools/platforms that could be integrated. The implementation and use of the platform was very simple and frequently used.

I can honestly say I have nothing negative to report. Both the collaboration and communication were consistently professional, friendly, and straightforward.

There was no actual problem. Kertos greatly supported us in preparing for the ISO certification. The platform significantly facilitates the structuring and tracking of compliance requirements.
