Best European Alternative for Vanta!
What do you like best about the product?
Kertos has been a game-changer for us. It’s one of the few compliance platforms that really understands the European regulatory landscape, and it feels built for companies here rather than retrofitted from a US product like Vanta or the likes.
The interface is clean, onboarding was straightforward, and their customer support is very responsive, not just scripted replies. It’s helped us save countless hours on audits and policy management, and it integrates well with the tools we already use.
Honestly, 100% recommendation for others who are thinking of using a provider for their compliance.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s not much to complain about. One small nitpick is the reporting section that could be more customized out of the box. But even here, the team has been super receptive to feedback and already rolled out improvements since we started using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Kertos, staying on top of compliance felt like juggling a dozen excel spreadsheets, checklists, and endless email threads. We were always in “reactive mode” before audits, scrambling to gather evidence and update policies. Kertos centralized everything for us (tasks, evidence, and progress tracking, etc.) so we have a single source of truth. It’s cut our prep time for audits by around 70% and given us far more confidence in our compliance readiness.

What do you like best about the product?
The way Kertos broke down our ISO controls into manageable steps made all the difference. Their combination of automation, personal support, and in-depth compliance knowledge meant our team could make progress without feeling overwhelmed. The fast response times and practical advice from the customer success team really stood out.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a lot dislike. After going through the ISO process it's little things that could have been better: Like better document editing/formatting etc. But thats mostly comfort functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to meet ISO requirements while keeping the workload light for our small team. Kertos gave us a clear structure and took care of the heavy lifting, letting us focus on our day-to-day work.

What do you like best about the product?
Kertos made our journey toward ISO certification incredibly smooth and efficient. The platform’s clear structure, intuitive interface, and ready-to-use templates saved us weeks of work. The customer support team was responsive and knowledgeable, guiding us through every step and ensuring we stayed on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s very little to dislike. If anything, we’d love to see even more integrations with other tools we use daily, to make the workflow even more seamless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to quickly establish and document our internal information security processes in order to achieve ISO certification. Before Kertos, this felt overwhelming and time-consuming. With Kertos, we had a clear roadmap, centralized documentation, and automated compliance checks. As a result, we obtained our ISO certification in a fraction of the expected time, giving our customers greater trust in our data security and strengthening our market position.

What do you like best about the product?
As CEO, I want to keep an overview without getting lost in details. Kertos gives me exactly that: clear structures, helpful templates, and an AI that takes care of routine tasks for us. This way, we can focus on our core business and still know that compliance is running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would wish for more coverage for international standards outside of Europe. We want to continue to grow strongly, and I hope there will soon be even better opportunities to internationalize into other countries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise customers have high compliance requirements. Adhering to and documenting these keeps us from our daily business. Every second I can save here, I gladly save. Kertos gives us the strategic overview and saves us a lot of time!

We just got started yet, it’s clear Kertos understands automation 100%. Their platform is designed to reduce manual compliance work to an absolute minimum, which is exactly what we’re looking for. The fact that they support multiple frameworks means we can consolidate everything in one place later.

We particularly appreciate the integrated DPO service – it’s like having a data protection expert on board without the extra overhead. Whenever we have questions, the Kertos team responds quickly with clear, practical guidance. Their style is approachable, solution-driven, and genuinely helpful.

At times, we’d like even more flexibility in customizing certain workflows. That said, Kertos regularly introduces updates, so we’re optimistic these enhancements are on the way. Overall, there’s very little to complain about.

Previously, our GDPR-related tasks were scattered across spreadsheets, emails, and shared drives – making them hard to track and time-consuming to manage. Kertos centralizes everything, automates where possible, and adds expert oversight through the DPO service. This allows us to respond to requests more efficiently, demonstrate compliance with less effort, and concentrate more on our core business instead of administrative burdens.
With Kertos, GDPR compliance for health data is now effortless and built into our daily operations.

At Aware Health GmbH, we handle sensitive health-related data every day, so GDPR compliance is absolutely critical. Kertos’ GDPR features – especially the Data Subject Request (DSR) workflows – integrate seamlessly into our operations and have automated nearly all of our compliance processes. Tasks that once took days are now completed in minutes, often without any manual involvement from our compliance team. The onboarding process was straightforward, with most integrations just a few clicks away from a library of hundreds of tools, and our custom healthcare software connected easily via API. Their team is impressively responsive, typically replying within hours whenever we needed support beyond the standard scope. As a European company working in healthcare, we value having a partner from Europe who understands both the regulatory nuances and the real-world challenges of handling medical data, while delivering a product that can stand alongside the best global compliance solutions.

Kertos has been instrumental in helping us organize and document our information security practices in line with ISO standards. This has significantly reduced the complexity and time required for our certification process. The platform’s structured approach ensures that we can prepare compliance and eventually get certified soon.
