Streamlined Internal Development with ToolJet

  • January 29, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to connect to different data sources and build screens using drag-and-drop components. It's flexible and developer-friendly, and it works well for quick internal requirements. ToolJet speeds up development time by allowing us to connect to databases and APIs easily and build UIs faster, saving both time and effort for the team. The initial setup was fairly straightforward; basic installation and connecting the data source didn't take much time. Once we got familiar with the interface, things became smooth and easy to manage. ToolJet integrates well with our existing stack, making it easier to bring data from different sources into one place. It's easy to use, flexible, and really helps speed up internal development.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that could be improved is documentation and onboarding. While the tool is powerful, some advanced features take time to understand, especially for new users. Also, customizing requires some technical knowledge, so making those simpler would help teams move even faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ToolJet speeds up building internal tools by simplifying UI creation and connecting to databases and APIs, saving us time and effort. It's flexible and easy, supports developers and nontechnical users, responding quickly to requirements.

Effortless Scheduling with Drag-and-Drop Simplicity

  • January 07, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that ToolJet is a low-code internal tool builder. I use the drag-and-drop UI builder to design calendars, grid views, and schedule forms without writing tons of code. The drag-and-drop UI builder allows me to quickly create scheduling pages without wasting my time on front-end development. I can build forms for shift creation, tables to view schedules, and calendar-like templates in a very visually pleasing way. This makes it easy to iterate and adjust the layout, which is especially useful when dealing with different teams, roles, or shift types. I can add custom logic using Javascript to prevent overlapping of events on my schedule. The functions on ToolJet are more organized and clearly labeled, and the initial setup was extremely easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nil
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ToolJet to organize shifts, track availability, and coordinate tasks across roles, providing flexibility and simplicity that traditional scheduling tools lack.

A Smarter, Faster Approach to Internal App Development with ToolJet

  • December 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how ToolJet makes it easy to build internal tools fast while still giving developers the flexibility to go deep when needed. The open‑source model and strong integration support make it a standout choice for teams that want both speed and control.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d say the main drawbacks are that performance can dip with very large datasets, and some of the more advanced features require a bit of a learning curve for non‑technical users. I also think having more built‑in templates would make it even easier for teams to get started quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ToolJet helps me quickly build internal tools and automate workflows so teams can move faster.

Flexible, AI-Powered Low-Code Platform for Enterprise Apps

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using ToolJet and till now the experience has been good.
There are some really good advantages, like it's open source, easy to use, provides. It is purely developer-focused, open-source, extensible, low-code platform built specifically for enterprise-grade-level internal tools and dashboards.

Its biggest strength is offering development flexibility from writing AI prompts to dragging and dropping widgets to custom coding as and when required. You can start building your dashboard with AI prompts and use drag-and-drop widgets to make it function better, and if needed, write complex code through JavaScript.

ToolJet supports 80+ native integrations, including PostgreSQL, Anthropic, WeaviateDB, Stripe, n8n,gRPC, MySQL, SwissCom and more. This means can easily integrate using its provided integrations or build my own.

For large enterprises adopting strict security standards, ToolJet offers on-prem deployments, air-gapped mode, RBAC, audit logs, environments and version control. Best part, it does not charge end users unlike other platforms and hence offers premium features at genuine pricing. ToolJet also comes up with deployment flexibility of hosting on cloud, self-hosting or on-prem hosting making it enterprise-friendly with SOC 2 and SSO support.

Currently it has launched its AI App Builder with workflow automation. ToolJet is a direct competition to companies like Retool, SuperBlocks, Appsmith and more. ToolJet is a modern alternative to low code internal app builder with its AI-native capabilities to build dashboards and internal apps faster. As an open-source platform, it has no vendor lock-in and reduces long-term TCO, making it a strong choice for CEOs, CIOs and CTOs looking for flexibility from build to deployment. Currently ToolJet has launched its own AI Agents to help you in the building process faster by intuitively figuring out which piece fits where in the code and data resources. It has good TAT for customer support and is easy to implement. I used it to build some dashboards that were required for my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love it, as it has really good AI-native features just like retool but at reasonable pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't know a lot of coding, but the AI app builder and the team have helped me immensely in making beautiful UI with good workflows.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ToolJet simplifies the process of creating internal tools, eliminating the need for extensive engineering effort. With its drag and-drop builder, built-in integrations, and pre made components, I can quickly transform ideas into working tools. The open source aspect also provides the flexibility and transparency required for customization. Overall, ToolJet significantly reduces development time and enables teams to deliver internal applications much more efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced setup steps could benefit from clearer documentation, particularly when dealing with complex data sources or multi step workflows. The platform may also feel somewhat sluggish if an app incorporates a large number of components. Additionally, a few integrations are still in the process of maturing and would benefit from further refinement. While these are not major problems, they can add a bit of extra time to the configuration process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ToolJet enables us to develop internal dashboards, automate repetitive tasks, and design lightweight AI assisted workflows without having to rely solely on our engineering team. This significantly reduces the time we spend waiting for internal tools and allows our teams to experiment more quickly. Additionally, it has consolidated various manual processes into a single, unified interface, which has enhanced both the speed and accuracy of our daily operations.
