Transforms Access Management with Ease and Efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
I love the visibility and automation Lumos provides. The centralized dashboard gives a complete real-time view of all our apps, licenses, and entitlements. This level of control and auditing is essential for both security and compliance. The platform has been a game changer for our organization's management of employee access to critical SaaS applications. It has eliminated headaches associated with user life cycle management, from smooth onboarding to secure access. Lumos gives our IT team confidence and saves significant time. I also appreciate the responsiveness of Lumos's team and their focus on solving real IT-world issues. It's a very good product that solves all our life cycle management issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core functionality is excellent, the initial setup for integrating custom, lesser-known apps took longer than expected. An even more streamlined onboarding process for niche integrations would make the product perfect."

Streamlined IT Operations and Effortless Access Management
What do you like best about the product?
As a small startup, access requests, onboarding/offboarding, and SaaS management can take half the week. Lumos centralizes all of that—clean access workflows, automated provisioning, clearer ownership, and real visibility into what tools we actually use. It cuts down on the back-and-forth with employees, reduces shadow IT, and helps us stay compliant without having to add headcount. It just makes day-to-day IT ops run smoother. The support has been great from their team with ongoing monthly meetings to ensure we're using the tool to its full capacity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing I dislike is that getting all the integrations and workflows set up can take time. Once it’s running, it’s great—but the initial setup can feel a bit heavy for a small IT team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lumos solves our biggest pains around access management, onboarding/offboarding, and SaaS visibility. It cuts down the constant Slack tickets, automates a lot of repetitive work, and gives us a clear view of who has access to what. It also helps reduce unused licenses, which saves money. Overall, it makes day-to-day IT smoother and lets us focus on bigger priorities instead of chasing down manual tasks.
Automates Access Requests and Streamlines IT Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Lumos allows us to automate access requests, saving time on tier 1 IT tasks. It also can cut tickets into our IT Service project for easy auditing.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order for us to automate AWS access requests, we had to create different Okta groups for each access level in each team.
Its a little cumbersome to keep the Okta groups updated.

It benefits us by freeing up tier 1 support for other tasks

Online Support is probably the best thing about Lumos and that its easy to find an online community for each of the products offered.

Having to go through technical support is very annoying in most cases.

Lumos helps us get out of our own way
What do you like best about the product?
We have automated hapiness.
Typically, policies and procedures are required to get a workforce to do what is best for both themselves and the business. Access requests in particular would normally be maintained through a ticketing system with back and forth between a service desk. A carrot and stick approach, wherein the team would spend as much time trying to pull the different players in a given interaction together, as we would executing the tasks of ticket hygeine and access provisioning. People trying to circumvent this process get repremanded or may even be fired.
With Lumos our end users request what they need, what level of access they think they need, and for the duration of that access. Approvals go to the appropriate stakeholders/business units. The fastest method of getting what someone needs is now Lumos. Circumventing this process is slower, as users would need to set up accounts, licensing, etc.
This ease of use to follow the policy as well as the procedure can only be called a "carrot and carrot" approach.
Lumos has allowed us to transform and modernize. Lumos is great, and evolving for the better all the time. This product is no different than any other initiative that makes an impact. Lumos is going to bring a lot to the table - you are going to need to bring the enthusiasm and desire to evolve. Once you understand how to hook into different platforms and drive the automation, it is amazing.

Lumos helps to expedite and streamline the User Access Review portion of compliance requirements
What do you like best about the product?
Lumos is a great tool for a variety of reasons but what I like best about it is its ease of deployment and use which generates a high adoption rate for users. Makes IT support lives easier via the adoption of the AppStore and makes GRC folks very happy when it comes to show supporting evidence during audits.

I don't have anything I dislike about this product. It's purpose built for what it does and it hits the mark.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lumos solves the problem of performing regular user access reviews in a way that is highly adoptable by the user population. It also helps create a one stop shop for folks to get their software.
RBAC on Steroids
What do you like best about the product?
Lumos has been a great tool in our arsenal to implment organization wide role based access. Even with SSO solutions this remains an issue with startups to manage access. Lumos saw the clear gap and built a great solution. It also helps us discover shadow apps and bring visibility to IT spend. Lumos team has been great to work with as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are on the right path to solve the access control issues. I wish to see more integrations with commonly used SaaS apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lumos is helping us to establish role based access and centralize SaaS usage across the organization.
