Streamlined SaaS Management

  • March 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Shadow IT discovery

Access requests for employees are a breeze - the simple navigation, approval chains, provisioning abilities, and notifications through Slack.

The quick user offboarding saves us at least an hour each time an employee leaves.

The access review process is much quicker than what we were using before.

I appreciate the continual rollout of new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any reasonably new product, there are still some bugs in the mix that their technical team has helped us work on. With certain features or integrations lacking, they've been receptive to our feedback on product enhancements
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quarterly reviews, access requests, SaaS app usage, automated approvals and chain approvals, offboardings.

Streamlining SaaS Expenses Made Easy with Lumos

  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Automation features for auto provisioning and Slack integrations
- Helps to manage SaaS expenses and provides clear visibility
- User-friendly interface that is easy to navigate
- Exceptional support team that provides extensive training during onboarding
- Wide range of SaaS integrations available, with the option to request more if needed
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing to note about Lumos is that their pricing is not listed on their website. While Lumos is priced reasonably, it can be unclear how much it would cost potential customers to use the tool. This lack of transparency can create confusion and make it challenging for customers to compare Lumos to other tools in the market. It would be helpful if Lumos were more transparent about their pricing and provided clear information about their plans and pricing tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lumos is primarily solving the problem of managing SaaS expenses. The tool provides automation features for auto-provisioning and Slack integrations, which help to streamline the management of SaaS expenses and provide clear visibility into your organization's SaaS spending. This solution benefits you in several ways:

- Lumos helps to eliminate the problem of manual tracking of SaaS expenses, which can be time-consuming and error-prone.
- By automating SaaS expense management, Lumos saves you time and frees up your resources to focus on other important aspects of your business.
- The tool's user-friendly interface makes it easy for you to navigate and get started, without requiring extensive training or technical expertise.
- With Lumos, you can gain a clear understanding of your organization's SaaS spending, which can help you to identify areas where you can optimize costs and reduce waste.
- Lumos' integration support ensures that you can easily connect with a wide range of SaaS applications, which can help you to make better-informed decisions about which tools are most valuable for your business.

Lumos at Chegg

  • March 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is making the IT experience at Chegg tangibly better. It is a very friendly product to use and implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a new product in the process of maturing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially - fixing access approvals and shoring up quarterly reviews. Long term, everything to do with identity governance. Guiderails for who can request access to what, etc. Spend management particularly better visibility to business unit's IT costs.

Lumos takes the burden off IT for application access and auditing.

  • February 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Users can quickly request access to a service or application on the fly.
Using automated intervals we can now grant JIT access and pull access when no longer needed after a specific time period.
We can also now automate the audit process and take a lot of the guess work out of user access auditing and vetting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not found a downside yet.
They continue to add new features and value to an already stellar application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating the access to applications and services by removing the burden from IT, and keeping user audits simple and effective.

Lumos helped automate over 1500 access approvals in the last quarter.

  • February 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We previously were heavily reliant on Jira forms and manually moving a ticket between approvals, Lumos helped us automate that and enforce approval chains.
What do you dislike about the product?
There haven't been downsides to the use case we were trying to solve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access requests, quarterly reviews, compliance, automated approvals, offboarding, cost savings

Lumos has worked really well as a Blissfully replacement so far

  • February 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lumos does a very nice job not only around automation between itself and 3rd parts SAAS apps but has a great manual process in place when automation is not available.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish Lumos had the ability within the app to display security information on the various SAAS apps that we use such as SOC 2 compliance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lumos lest us track which 3rd party SAAS apps our users use and it makes it very easy for staff to request access to the applications that they need. It also makes it easy for sys admins to remove access from a staff person who leaves the company.

Amazing Reporting Tool with even better support.

  • December 18, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can easily access information such as an investigation report.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Lumos help center had a live chat. Ideally, the initial question can be answered by a bot, but when issues become more specific having the option to speak to a live rep would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lumos is constantly rolling out new changes and updates. For example, there were some new permissions added to AppStore. We can now set up approvers for different Okta groups, set visibility of groups for each group, & rename groups for your requesters. This is super helpful!

The simplicity of being able to approve an application with 1 click.
What do you dislike about the product?
How many notifications are being sent through slack to show that someone is requesting an application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing all applications into a simple group of approval and assigning.

Lumos takes the monotony out of IT!

  • August 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lumos takes a new approach to application provisioning in the enterprise environment. Most services that assist in application management simply show you what you're wasting money on, but Lumos takes care to make sure that your end users are able to self-serve, and are only provisioned the applications they need for the time that they need them and can do this all via an integration in Slack. It's amazing to see all the mundane access request issues which clog up our IT queue be deflected by Lumos. We are so excited to expand our use of this new product across our company!
What do you dislike about the product?
Lumos is still new, and as with any new and exciting product, there are some bugs and hot fixes still in the mix. However their customer care team (shout out to Annie Song!) has done a great job supporting us through application troubleshooting, customer success calls, quick turnaround time on questions. A shared slack channel has helped us collaborate and white glove support through CEO and founder Andrej lets us know they care about us as a customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Lumos, our IT support team was getting bogged down in one off access request to apps like a sauna, zoom, and and Mero. With Lumos most teams can now self serve and all of those tickets are a thing of the past. All we have to do is make sure the little rubber duckies are floating down the stream by adding more and more apps to the Lumos App Store, whereas before we were pretty much blocked up like a dam. This means our IT support agents and engineers can focus on more pressing issues like automation, security, and hey, maybe even going to a conference for once!
