On the one Hand the UI and on the other all of the many features.

It ist sometimes a bit confusing to get the right configuration.

Our systems have to be Up 24/7. With checkmk we Always know whats going on.
Large scale infrastructure monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn, easy to teach. Managing hosts is quite straightforward, many technologies are already covered out of the box, but creating custom checks is also beginner friendly. This way we can manage lots of hosts with relative ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reviewing historical data for services could be more straightforward and user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It complements other monitoring tools well in covering full stack monitoring of a large infrastructure.

The continuous progression, the new possibilities in every version

Being on-prem at our company, hence being unstable because of infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping the seamless working of our servers by proactively detecting upcoming issues, no outage - or minimal alon our hosts
An extremely powerful tool with a steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
A very comprehensive out of the box experience and extremely customizable. It scales well. Companies should contact a partner to get large environments set up because some errors are unavoidable if you don't know how to set the system up properly.
What do you dislike about the product?
For large environments, knowledge about Linux and a lot of technical topics like encryption and networking highly recommended. At least 2 full time FTE required for operation. Even if it's outsourced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our main monitoring tool for technical monitoring. It answers all basic questions and we only need dedicated solutions for log management and application tracing.

Customer support is fast, competent, and helpful. Many features and plugins.

Email templates not customizable in design

Detect hardware issues and analyze network traffic

We can monitor host down alarms when any server goes down. And along with this we can monitor server's service alarms like memory, filesystem usage and power supply status and interface status etc.

Need to install agent on servers. It is somewhat time taking process.
