An interesting & informative conference that exceeded my expectations
What do you like best about the product?
Checkmk is undoubtedly the outstanding monitoring system, distinguished by its exceptional efficiency and versatility. With its user-friendly interface, comprehensive features, and seamless integrations, Checkmk offers an unparalleled solution for monitoring a wide variety of systems, making it the first choice for companies and organizations around the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Checkmk undoubtedly offers an impressive range of extensions and plugins, it is important to recognize that not every extension is always the ideal solution for specific customer requirements. Every customer and every system is unique, so it may occasionally be necessary to develop customized solutions to meet specific needs. In such cases, it can be sensible to resort to individual customizations to ensure the best possible performance and effectiveness of the monitoring system. However, the flexibility of Checkmk allows for successfully meeting such tailored requirements, thus ensuring optimal monitoring and control of various systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Checkmk as a powerful monitoring tool for both monitoring customer systems and our internal infrastructure. The versatile functions and expansion possibilities of Checkmk enable comprehensive and precise monitoring of various systems, including critical customer systems and our internal IT infrastructure. The integration of Checkmk into our workflows has created an efficient and reliable monitoring solution that allows us to proactively respond to emerging issues, identify bottlenecks, and continuously optimize the overall performance of the systems. What do you dislike about the product?
The configuration of notifications is sometimes unclear but now with the "fake" which will trigger after one click it will be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The nice thing are availability reports where you can find if any "pattern" occurs and exact times.

What do you like best about the product?
The installation is very easy. The Basic configuration is possible to create within an hour of work. CheckMK is usable for very small Environments (up to 10 hosts) but is usable in very very large Env. up to 10k Hosts

Nothing important at the moment. The new version takes a lot of things better

We are Monitor Customer Systems and Datacenter. This helps us to find Errors bevore they accure. We use 24x7 for finding Problems and Solve them bevor the Customer is informated

Nothing to dislike Actually but suggestion would chexkmk should have some automated script to setup all the things

We have on primise cloud I.e openstack and check is healping us to monitor all osp service .hypervisor CPU , memory and storage alerts.
Excellent solution for a mixed Windows and Linux Environment

I really enjoy the automatic Agent update mechanism.

In the meantime I learned to handle all issues.

I like the current features, infrastructure monitoring and the extensions. The interface is well-made and alerting is functional.

SNMP monitoring could be improved, extensions could have a better documentation

Infrastructures problems (filesystems, networks, cpu, memory). It alerts in time the problem and we can fix them by time

Big selection of different plugins and an community exchange. With them one gets a solid base monitoring setup.
The Rule based setup allows cascading Host and Service configurations.
The open core and the API allow easy auditing and extension for our needs.
Even the Nagios Core performs quite well.

The flexibility leads to an big and somewhat confusing GUI.
The API has limitation which make it hard to implement some type of check plugins.

It allows us the efficiently setup an monitoring and alerting system for a mid-sized company.
The OMD tool allows for native isolation of instances and therefor is a great base for disaster recovery for CMK.

It already offers a large number of built-in checks for monitoring with predefined measurements.
This makes it easy to get started with system monitoring. In addition, there are many short instructions in video form from the development team, especially for the beginning.

Many adjustments are made via rules. Rules can be made in different places, centrally, at the host or at the individual check
