What do you like best about the product?
A lot of out of the box functionality for monitoring.
You can start on Community Edition and continue on Enterprise.

What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is somewhat cumbersome and requires some effort to adopt the sometimes not intuitive logic.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The rules are very powerful feature to configure and customize the monitoring and alerting to match well the requirements.
It is an extraordinary event for Check MK customers, partners and collaborators
What do you like best about the product?
It's open source, so everybody can contribute and has a very knowledgeable team. Improvements are performed regularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to dislike. Maybe have the documentation and the UI translated into more languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a critical infrastructure, a 24/7 monitoring tool is key and CheckMK accomplishes that very well.

German product, powerful Plugins, easy Integration, good documentation

Version Upgrades at Managed Service Edition (MKP)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Informations about Performance Problems, Service Problems and downtimes. We can very fast solve Customer Problems. The Managed Service Edition is Perfect to configure all our Customer instances.
Using CheckMK for 10+ years and still satisfied
What do you like best about the product?
CheckMK has been very reliable and is one of the systems that is most easy and fast to deploy.
Also it continues to grow into the right direction and takes feedback into account. Many of our feature requests have been implemented and are now available to everyone who uses it.
Also the scalability is great so we can provide remote sites with just a few connectors or hundrets of thousands of checks.

What do you dislike about the product?
The company is growing very fast and with growing come some minor pains, as with response times or how things are handled, but they continue to address these issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it gives us a great real time overview of the systems we check and the alerting is integrated with our ticketing and chat AI to dispatch agents to solve problems quickly.

Granular monitoring of hosts and services and posibility to create custom views, dasboards and reports.

General state of a BI system but not particularly an issue.

Identifies the causes for which a system can crash or goes down.

I really like the ease of which Checkmk allows to manage multiple monitored hosts, for existing and growing IT networks.
It's also easy to integrate multiple services into monitoring or develop local checks and plugins, based on your needs.

I'm not really inclined to see a strong negative here, because my default state of mind is to work around and issue.
One thing I can mention is that Checkmk needs to be understood at the core, for it to be flexible for your needs

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem alerting and statistics. Ease of host management and also notifications with alert handlers.
It s a great tool , not easy to masterize but the best on the market i think.

The product itself is efficient, good features and looks that the could version seems to be a really great improvement

The UI must be improved , somethinmes its difficult to surf on it

On prem monitoring and specifics segregated network infra and also some kubernetes containers , and we use integration with pagerduty for alerting all works good in general

ability to monitor practically everything. restapi is also really cool.

user interface can be a bit confusing...

Unmatched scalability and customisation
What do you like best about the product?
It's rather easy to set up distributed monitoring to scale your monitoring infrastructure and manage the cmk sites from a central (master) setup. Also, every request I've received could be implemented thanks to the numerous out of the box checks, and if all else should fail, a self written custom plugin and check can definitely solve the issue. The docs are also great!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no piggyback data transfer solution in place yet (but it's already under development).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Almost every monitoring related tasks are handled with checkmk. It's not an issue to connect every host in your infrastructure, and the bakery makes managing agents an easy job.
A very good monitoring tool for Business
What do you like best about the product?
A really good monitoring tools that is user friendly and simple to use GUI. Easy to train new users to operate this monitoring tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of visualization dashboard such as performance graph for a specific service of a host/service groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checkmk help's triggering alerts for incidents which is very crucial in our environment.
