I use Cyera for daily inquiries and to assist me in my activities, from work to daily home routines. I find it very effective and efficient, and it can help me create budgets. For me, it is very good and the initial setup was super easy.

What do you like best about the product?

Cyera’s Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform provides unprecedented visibility into sensitive data assets across our hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, and SaaS stores). Cyera uses agentless, AI-powered discovery to scan, classify, and map structured and unstructured data in real time without impacting production database performance. What stands out most during incident triage is how Cyera contextually links data sensitivity to identity permissions and security posture. When an alert triggers, Cyera immediately shows us whether misconfigured access controls or public S3 buckets expose actual PII, PCI, or intellectual property, allowing us to prioritize high-risk data exposures over low-severity infrastructure drift.

What do you dislike about the product?

Because Cyera performs deep data classification across vast cloud environments, initial full-repository discovery scans on petabyte-scale data lakes can take time to complete before full contextual graphs are generated. Additionally, configuring fine-tuned custom classification patterns for proprietary internal data schemas requires initial regex and prompt customization to minimize false positives. While the platform excels at continuous visibility and alert generation, executing automated remediation (like revoking excessive IAM roles) usually relies on external SOAR workflows or API webhooks rather than direct inline blocking.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cyera solves the critical problem of toxic data combinations and shadow data sprawl. Before deploying Cyera, our SOC team had no fast way to verify if an exposed cloud bucket or compromised user account actually had access to sensitive data assets. We spent hours manually correlating SIEM logs with cloud storage IAM policies. Cyera centralizes automated data discovery and contextual risk scoring, allowing us to identify and remediate exposed sensitive data before external threat actors can exploit it, significantly lowering our risk of data breaches.

What do you like best about the product?

Before our production release cuts, we used to run into last-minute roadblocks tracking down unmasked test data that engineers accidentally copied into staging buckets. Cyera caught these shadow data copies immediately, mapping exactly where sensitive PII lived across our AWS environments without slowing down our pipeline.

What do you dislike about the product?

The initial discovery scan flagged a ton of historical snapshots and dev databases, which felt overwhelming before we could tune the severity filters. We also found that linking specific alert triggers directly back to individual PR owners in GitHub required custom webhook work rather than working seamlessly out of box.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our biggest bottleneck was security triage delays during release freezes, where change requests were held up while compliance manually checked if new cloud workloads exposed customer data. Cyera automates that validation, catching sensitive data drift and orphaned test snapshots across our AWS accounts before code reaches production.

What do you like best about the product?

What I like most about Cyera is its exceptional, AI-native classification engine. It delivers impressive, real-time visibility into sensitive data across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with over 95% accuracy, which has effectively eliminated our security blind spots.

What do you dislike about the product?

The technical data classification is excellent, but the executive-level risk reporting dashboards still feel a bit underdeveloped, especially when I’m trying to share clear, high-level summaries with non-technical business leaders.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cyera helps us tackle data sprawl by automatically discovering and classifying sensitive data across our cloud environments, while also providing guardrails for safe generative AI adoption. For us, this translates into a meaningful reduction in data breach risk, more automated compliance audits, and far less need for manual tracking.

What do you like best about the product?

I find Cyera easy to use and get fast results. I value DLP the most because it gives us good insights into unacceptable data use. My initial setup was very easy, and the onboarding support was fantastic.

What do you dislike about the product?

I find Cyera’s pricing on the higher side, and its AI observation is pretty basic compared to competitors.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Cyera to see where our data is stored and who can access it, so restricted or sensitive information isn’t surfaced in chat. Its DLP helps protect us from privacy incidents, with AI usage patterns and summaries, automatic assignment and grading, and visibility into business and shadow AI use.

What do you like best about the product?

It is a very comprehensive platform for data protection and identity governance.

What do you dislike about the product?

For the uses they give to the platform, it is excellent, with a bit of initial complexity.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The interface is very user-friendly and offers excellent performance in data discovery, making the process more agile and easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?

Cyera has everything an IT security professional could want, including blogs, webinars, white papers, and other free resources. Most of all, I really enjoy their IT certification courses and training (for free!!) :-)

What do you dislike about the product?

So far, I haven’t experienced anything negative or disappointing with Cyera. I have no complaints whatsoever.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cyera is helping address the need for reliable, accessible (and free) online resources where Cyber Security Professionals can find critical, relevant information on technology topics, events, and issues they face on a daily basis.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate the ease of implementation, and the Omni tool has been helpful for triaging incidents.

What do you dislike about the product?

Cyera has a higher price point; however, the team has been helpful and flexible throughout the negotiation process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cyera’s key role for us today is data security. It helps us identify and protect our most important data assets, and the tools also support our efforts to review potential data exfiltration and respond when needed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DSPM AND Identify security platform

What do you like best about the product?

The AI-based review of files for security and personal data has been a real time-saver for us. We have a large volume of eDiscovery documents, and it would take a long time for someone to manually inspect everything to ensure the data is secure.

What do you dislike about the product?

We’re in the process of setting up the agents and fine-tuning the parameters, so there’s a lot to wade through. That said, there’s nothing in particular I dislike so far.

We found a few files that still needed some fine-tuning around security settings and access restrictions.
