An overall good product for QA teams with small device inventories

  • October 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has a wide range of devices and OS versions, ideal for validation testing, especially when trying to replicate Client-reported bugs. It's intuitive and easy to use, and 90% of the times the loading times are almost immediate, like having the device right in your hand. The local testing is also a nice addition that works flawlessly for debugging. The user management is instantaneous and worked great when onboarding freelancers and later removing them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes devices crash during their loading and it becomes very painful to troubleshoot. Also, iOS devices do not support the "Tab" key, so switching from Android to iOS when needing to input site credentials feels annoying. The screen recording feature is nice, but the videos it outputs are not the highest quality and are quite heavy in contrast to other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep all out devices with the latest software, so when we need to validate older versions, BrowserStack is our savior. It also allows QA testers to work from home without needing to access physical devices that are stored at the office.

Seamless Cross-Browser Testing with BrowserStack

  • September 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the standout features of BrowserStack is its extensive and ever-growing browser and device coverage. This means you can test your web applications and websites on a wide range of browsers, including different versions of popular browsers, and on various operating systems and mobile devices. This diversity is invaluable for ensuring compatibility and functionality across different user environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Resource Intensive: Running multiple tests concurrently or using resource-intensive automated testing can sometimes lead to slower test execution times. This might be an issue for teams looking for rapid feedback in agile development environments.

Limited Free Plan: BrowserStack does offer a free trial, but its limitations can be restrictive for users who want to extensively evaluate the platform before committing to a paid plan. Access to a broader range of features during the trial period could be beneficial for users in this category.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time Savings: BrowserStack accelerates the testing process by providing on-demand access to a variety of environments. This saves developers and testers a significant amount of time compared to setting up and configuring different testing environments manually.
