CT is very customizable, need flexibility in ITP
What do you like best about the product?
Customization in CT is great and enables us to use labels and views that end users prefer.
What do you dislike about the product?
ITP is very rigid and lacks customization, as well as the ability to do simple calculated columns for unit based P*Q budgeting and forecasting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Educating cost center owners, leadership and business owners on their spend to drive accountability.

Amazing product for any tech segment to understand cost and optimization of applications, useage, and explaining of IT spend.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - with the new upgrades announced I believe they're right on track.

Appto provides a powerful, flexible tool to combine financial and operational data in a way that is repeatable, reliable, and accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apptio's flexibility requires careful consideration before implementing changes to the structure. An ill-advised update can have significant downstream effects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to apply structure to analyzing It operations beyond the basic financial reporting level. The flexibility to look at costs by application, service, or project allows multiple levels of IT leaders to focus on their own needs.
Great tool for allocating services

It is easy to implement and quick to realize value.

Reports can be overwhelming for non-apptio users,

We are using Apptio to allocate shared services on a consumption basis. We are also using it to report on telecom expense and P&L reporting. We are in the process of implementing Planning and will be using that for budgeting.

Would like more integration between cost transparency and ITP, and more usder interface customization flexibility for ITP.
