Sophos MTR best in segment !
What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Managed Threat Response provides 24*7 Protection which helps in active threat detection and resolving the issue in no time. They have one of the best teams which are expertized in cyber security and so far our organization has not seen downtime. Thanks to Sophos MTR service
What do you dislike about the product?
Sophos MTR is a bit expensive and sometimes they take a lot of time to revert. Sophos should have multiple language selections which will help clients to be more comfortable with MTR solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization has a small IT team, Sophos MTR helped us to provide 24*7 protection. When we have public holidays or weekends we know Sophos Team is working on the backend and helping us to stay protected.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sophos provides a great managed threat response service. Just go for it!

Good experience, we were very very well supported through the Threat Response Teams.
What do you like best about the product?
We used to have Sophos installed as a security measure, but suddenly we were attacked quite massively. Therefore we increase our collaboration with Sophos and employed the Sophos Rapid Response Team and the Monitoring Team as well.
Without this, we wouldn’t have been able to cope with the massive attacks that followed. The 24/7 Rapid Response Team was constantly there for our questions, they were patient to explain and help whenever we needed it. Without their help, we would not have been able to deal with all the problems that crashed onto us all at the same time. They showed us which priorities we had, which the greatest risks were and which deficits we still had.
The Monitoring Team guarded our infrastructure around the clock and helped to make sure that our IT team got the necessary breaks.
By now we have reached a point where all known security risks are closed and only minor improvements and optimization is necessary.
Without this, we wouldn’t have been able to cope with the massive attacks that followed. We should have known earlier about this service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos has helped us to stay in business when the pure amount of attacks would have crashed us. Their experience kept us afloat and helped us to reduce the tasks into doable portions. They showed us where our weaknesses were and how to deal with them.
Good Product for Servers and Endpoint-Eliminating the need of SIEM Solution to a certain extent

* Lockdown feature
* Application Control especially Command Shell
* Immediate Notification by the MTR team on detection of a new threat.

What do you dislike about the product?
* The process of handling the General Technical Support Ticket is very slow and time-consuming. On the other hand, the MTR team is proactive. It's a complete contrast.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On the server side, there is not much to do as Lockdown and Application Control is doing most of the task. But Endpoints are more vulnerable due to work from home concept and here MTR team's response time is quick and effective which is trial and tested.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a good security solution that can do much beyond than normal Antivirus solution then this is the best product to opt for.
Also, it's eliminating the need for the SIEM solution or SOC specialist to a certain extent as the MTR team is taking care of it and identifying the vulnerability on the fly.

Peace of mind knowing experts are constantly monitoring our entire fleet of computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard can be a little non responsive at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No need to employ dedicated security experts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When compared to other solutions, it is far more comprehensive and cost effective.
MTR helped us optimise our supervision budget in a wonderful Way !!

Actually, I like couple de things such as :
1- the fact that the MTR team is available 24/7
2- the fact that the price is way cheaper than a classic SOC service
3- the fact that the bundle includes already antivirus +EDR + XDR

the downsides are :
1- that there is a separate cost for servers which more expensive than desktops and laptops
2- Mobiles (Smartphones and tablets) should be addressed through another solution (Central Mobile Advanced)

1- compliance to standards like ISO 27001 and ISO 22301
2- cost issue ; we were going to spend too much money on SIEM to guarantee monitoring of our SI ; now with MTR, the cost way cheaper
3- we had a challenge to find good SOC Analysts and once we find them, they leave after Maximum 2 years ; now this is not our duty and the vendor is handling himself this story

the recommendation i would give is to avoid purchasing SIEM and replace this investment by an MTR service

MTR Webinterface is easy to use.
Its very good that i get security advisory per Mail from the MTR Team.
The Dashboard has a lot of information for me and my colleagues.
The MTR-Team relieves the internal IT-Team significantly, since you no longer have to look at all endpoint logs.

Activation/Implementation after purchase, no german support contact person, no chance to open a ticket on MTR Webinterface with a option to select the maybe infected computer(Sophos Central - not ideal: currently only per E-Mail)

Sophos MTR relieves us of the constant checking of the Sophos Endpoints logs.
We don't have to look at the endpoints logs immediately with every email notification, because the MTR team does it for us immediately.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Managed Threat Response provides 24/7 tgreat detection and response capabilities provided by a team of experts as a completely managed service. Overall this is an excellent product.

I do not have any complaints for Sophos at this time.

Provide integrated defenses against malware, spyware, intrusions and unwanted applications.

Sophos is very easy to install and manage. The admin user interface is very intuitive and easy to learn. Integrates easily with Microsoft Windows. Basic user interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates do not always go through on the first attempt. Updater sometimes consumes processor speed. Takes about 15 minutes to install on clients. Would like to see faster install time

Sophos provides a complete Malware and Antivirus solution, thus eliminating the need for multiple programs. This is providing a cost savings and deployment of equipment is faster and more efficient

What do you like best about the product?
The product works great. The agent detects and cleans malware automatically. It is pretty much hands-off when alerts go off. The MTR service also is exceptional. The team notifies you when an alert happens and takes care of it immediately.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is the deployment of the agent to a new or an existing workstation. Especially on an Apple workstation. Managing policies for an Apple device is also a pain
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The product does a great job detecting malware, once it detects, the agent cleans it. Our team can concentrate on other issues while Sophos takes care of the bulk load of malware alerts.
Sophos MTR is a solid product with great support.
What do you like best about the product?
Sophos MTR is very easy to use and, since it resides in the same console as our other Sophos products, it's familiar in its layout. Having their team's eyes on our network elevates our level of confidence in our security.
What do you dislike about the product?
The weakest point of Sophos MTR is the granular ability to quickly dive into details on machines and detections. Would be better to access them from the main page instead of going into different sections of the product for that info.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of internal security resources. MTR allowed us to heavily step up our protections without additional hiring and at a good cost. The rollout was easy and we've saved a lot of time using it.
