Somewhat limited but does basic necessities
What do you like best about the product?
Formstack helps us create automation for a variety of internal and customer-facing processes and campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are obvious limitations to creating forms with a drag-and-drop feature, but I wish we could edit styling in more detail. Currently, those limitations don't look like an official page. We're better off attempting to embed something directly into our website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have social media campaigns and other data gathering forms created with Formstack. It's nice to have all of our forms in one place and have them be so dynamic.
Formstack StandAlone and Formstack for Salesforce Review
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality and customer support is what I have enjoyed most! I appreciate the notifications, the logs, and customization for survey creation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I truly hope the upsert feature can be changed from email to mobile phone number since many survey respondents have multiple emails but only one phone number, and this would help minimize submission failures or duplicate record creation based on different emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing formstack primarily as a front end data capture tool. No financial benefits explicitly, but we are building and maintaining relationships due to this information collection.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think about going with Platinum level plan or higher so that you can utilize phone support. In our earliest trial with formstack we had trouble getting set up and without phone support it was difficult to trouble shoot with only email exchanges.
Great for simple forms
What do you like best about the product?

- Salesforce integration
- Javascript edits
- Change styling with CSS

What do you dislike about the product?
Customization of Errors is quite limited and does not show up like a standard error. But can have workarounds with Javascript.
Javascript functions do not always work as intended.
Suppose two persons work on the same form; Auto-save makes us casually overwrite each other. Communication before editing is essential for multi-person development.

Grants and scholarship applications.
Formstack helps streamline manual processes
What do you like best about the product?
Formstack helps streamline manual processes that otherwise would take years. the data collection is also great and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used it for three years and have never had an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting data on customer-reported issues in a standardized format is enormous for our company.
Still early on, but enjoying Formstack thus far
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of its forms and user interface. Its native functionality within Salesforce. Ability to use within our Customer / Community Portal in Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
Restricted to using Fields that only already exist in Salesforce. Also - required to use certain fields (i.e. Company field) for a standard short Lead form. We are a university and have no use for the company field but still could not delete it from the form (had to 'hide' it). This could be user error but I found it odd
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a brand new Application form for our university. Will look to build out more forms that exist both in Salesforce Experience Cloud and also embed forms on our websites that map directly to our CRM and Pardot.
Formstack Review
What do you like best about the product?
The different form designs and drag and drop ability is extremely helpful. Formstack can also integrate with salesforce, and we really enjoy that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything too particularly but it would be great to have more choices of fonts and colors for the form design and form layout options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to do a survey with my colleagues about different ways we can connect during this quarantine period.
Formstack is Essential in the Work From Anywhere World
What do you like best about the product?
We can customize all our forms to our unique business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Even when I have trouble with something the support is excellent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do not have to send forms to be printed. We are able to sync documents with our CRM Salesforce. We have records of everything that is completed.
Perfect Consolidation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Formstack easily creates a variety of ways to collect information with a user-friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the packages aren't perfect for every need and may require customization which can get pricey
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily collecting leads and customer information on forms that take only a few minutes to set up. Integration of documents and sign make everything a breeze.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While other companies may offer similar solutions to Formstack, their customer service and ease of access to help whenever you need it makes them the obvious choice.
Formstack has been a versatile solution for many of our office's needs.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Formstack allows a lot of versatility in form design and redesign, as well as extremely helpful integrations that make information sharing easy after the information is received.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've generally been pretty happy with Formstack. Our main challenge is that part of what we collect information for as an office is to meet federal Financial Aid signature requirements, and Formstack, unfortunately does not meet those requirements; we're using Formstack Sign for those elements, but that does have other limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Formstack was a HUGE help to us in making it easier for students to submit appeals to our office in an updated and secure manner, and it's allowed for a lot more efficiency for us in collecting information we use to determine the distribution of scholarship funds. This has especially been key during the pandemic with so many more constituents connecting with us over phone or email rather than walking into our office.
Formstack Review B
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to drag and drop fields to the form from a pre-made list of fields. I like the ability to save and edit forms year after year and the easy way in which we can download data and form submissions year after year.
What do you dislike about the product?
The form logic can be a bit confusing and a more apparent warning that the form is not functioning properly would be helpful. I would also like the abiltiy to add subheading and/or explanatory text in more areas of a typical field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to offer a secure and easy linked form to accept payments and various other forms of information. I have realized the benefit of ease of use and ability to link to the form from our own domain.
